If the neck is still in the condition it was when you got it back (a year ago), take some close up photo's for your own record. A report from your local guy might also be helpful. Then, if you want to resolve the situation to your satisfaction, take the bass back to the luthier and explain why you are not happy. Then ask what he/she is going to do to put things right. That will give you some idea of what to do next. You might also point out that you have a bass on order....That might focus the mind a bit.

I'm selling my EBS Drome Classic 150 watt combo as I play Guitar mostly these days. This is practically new, never gigged, still got the box condition. Great combo for home/recording/rehersal/small gig use. There's even a line out so it could be used on larger venues as a monitor feeding the PA. It's possible to get modern or vintage style tones as the pre amp section has plenty of adjustment. This isn't getting played as I'm now concentrating on guitar so it's time to move it on. I could wax lyrical about the quality and playability of this instrument but Valenti Basses are well known for both. The Bass is in very, very good condition and has the advantage of being both active and passive. Nordstrand pups and an Aguila OB1 pre (I think) give access to just about any jazz tone you could want. It comes with a very nice soft/hard case. Any trial is welcome. £700.
