1. Sold an RV-5 Boss effect pedal to Bamboo, good communications, prompt payment, top bloke. Thoroughly recommend him.
2. A pair of Peavey PA speakers – model ST12. These are in good nick, and have a single 12” speaker and a horn in each. Each cabinet is 8 ohms impedance and rated at 250 watts program , so 125 watts RMS. They measure 23” tall, 16” wide, 13” deep, trapezoid shape & carpet covered. They have a good sound, and have side handles & top hat fittings underneath if you want to mount them on poles. Looking for £70 for the pair. I’m in Morecambe near Lancaster, and you’re welcome to come & have a look & try them out, or I can deliver or meet up within a reasonable – say 10 mile - radius, or further by arrangement for some petrol money. Alternatively I do go over to Oldham & Manchester every two or three weeks so I could bring them over with me. Anyway, give me a shout & will see what can be arranged – they’re pretty large to pack and ship, but I would pack them in cardboard and wait in if you wanted to arrange for your own carrier to do a pick up. 4. Well thanks for that Steve - pretty great techique & it fitted right in with the band and the music.
5. MXR M-80 Bass d.i. + pedal up for sale – I’ve got a Sansamp Bass driver pedal now so this one has to go. It’s all in full working order, and comes complete with the box and manual. Has a DI out for recording, and a parallel output for running into a tuner, or another effect if you want, there's also a handy pre-shape button that gives (to my ears) a really good sound. A really solid, chunky pedal with lots of facilities. You have effectively a second channel as you can switch overdrive on and off with a second footswitch - you can preset the gain & volume of distortion/overdrive – as much as you want – there is a blend control to mix the amount in, and there’s an adjustable noise gate to keep it under control. This is a link to the MXR site for full information. http://www.jimdunlop...uct/m80-bass-di And here’s a link to the manual if you want to read through it. http://www.musicians...854253E889E.pdf The pedal has some marks on the base of it where the paint has flaked, and there is Velcro sticky on it where it was on my pedal board. The postage will be £6.50 for Hermes tracked carrier service – normally takes three days or so, and this is for UK mainland only. 6. Here is my Boss RV-5 Digital Reverb pedal up for sale, it’s in the original box with the manual and other leaflet, and is in really excellent condition. Never been mounted on an effects board so the base is in A1 condition. You can get a huge range of reverbs out of it and there is even a modulated effect. You can have it as a mono unit or run it into your send & return on an amplifier or mixer effects loop. You can also put stereo inputs to it & have stereo outputs. These are £119 new, and I'm looking for £75. Here is the Boss link to their website for more information. 7. A spare 12” Celestion bass driver G12B150 8 ohm as used in the Marshall 1912 1 x 12” 150 watt cabinets for sale. I got it off a guy on this site about a year ago, who had taken it out of his Marshall cabinet & put a 250 watt Eminence in it instead. I had it in a single small, old, rather rubbish cabinet as an extension cab, but I only ever used it as a vocal monitor. I’m downsizing, so the cabinet has gone to the great recycling yard in the sky, and the speaker itself is up for sale – I’m asking £35, plus carriage, which will be about £8 for UK mainland Hermes signed for carrier, based on a packed weight of 6 kilos. Alternatively you can call & pick it up from me in Morecambe and have a brew. This is the specification from Celestion. Nominal Diameter - 12” Power Rating - 150W Nominal Impedance - 8ohm Sensitivity - 98 db/W Chassis Type - Pressed steel Voice Coil Diameter - 2” Voice Coil Material - Round copper Magnet Type - Ceramic Magnet Weight - 50oz Frequency Range - 60-4000Hz Resonance Frequency - 77Hz DC Resistance - 7ohm Unit Weight - 4.8kg (about 11lb)
8. Here’s my Ashdown MAG 210T Deep cabinet up for sale – I’ve only used it a couple of times in the last 12 months, and I’m having to “downsize” so it’s got to go. These are £209 new – I’m asking for £130 – and I’m looking to sell, not exchange, thanks. It’s in good condition and the speakers are fine – it has 2 x 10” speakers and a piezo horn, and is rated at 250 Watts RMS and it’s an 8 Ohm cabinet. I’m in Morecambe near Lancaster, and you’re welcome to come & have a look & try it out, or I can deliver within a reasonable – say 10 mile - radius, or further by arrangement for some petrol money. Alternatively I do go over to Oldham & Manchester every two or three weeks so I could bring it over with me. Anyway, give me a shout & will see what can be arranged – it’s pretty large to pack and ship, but I would pack it in cardboard and wait in if you wanted to arrange for your own carrier to pick it up. 9. Is this still up for sale?
10. [sub]Well bumpity bump for this excellent (and very cheap) little amlifier.............[/sub]
11. Sold a Boss Tremolo pedal to Dave - good communication & prompt payment - Top man - I would thoroughly recommend him to you! Excellent Bass Chatter, Geoff STOMPBOX
12. Sorry - no recordings, but with flatwound strings & through a decent amp they sound fine - they certainly don't sound like the example in the clip above in this thread - the guy manages to make a complete arse both of himself and the sound of the bass- it sounds truly awful - about the worst demo I've ever heard. They are just a straightforward passive bass - wired like a Jazz - two volumes, one master tone. The sound is really down to you - with a half decent amp & cabinet and a good pair of ears you'll have no difficulty getting a smooth deep sound.
13. [sub]These are excellent guitars - I've now got three - a black one with all maple neck/board, a white one with rosewood board and a black one with rosewood board - this one is a fretless. [/sub] [sub]All are well made & lovely necks, I think they are stunners - and were not a cheap bass when they came out .[/sub] [sub] [/sub]
14. Sold!
