  1. I’ve had this “ next cab to get” dilemma myself .. assuming we get gigging again ! At present I have the Ampeg PF115LF cab and I’m pleased with it but I guess only suitable for small to medium gigs For larger gigs I would need to either get a second PF115LF cab ( most likely ) or get a different cab
  2. Yes it has positions 👍 Good feature
  3. What cabs you selling and can you ship ? in the U.K.
  4. Yes if they are several years old fresh tubes of the same type ie 12AX7 / ECC83 etc etc will make a more reliable amp and perhaps improve the tone too They are not that expensive to as a bonus
  5. I’ve played the swopping tube saga in the past with my old Marshall guitar amps and there are slight differences or some would say huge differences but I didn’t notice it Pre Amp tubes are easy to swop around with some great brands such as JJ, EHX, Svetlana, Groove Tube etc etc Changing worn or faulty tubes is a must but swopping good tubes for bass tone nirvana seldom happens in my opinion unless you get the very expensive tubes but even then I’m not so sure As Lozz said Watford valves are great and very helpful
  6. What’s the RM210 cab like ?
  7. Another +1 for GG I ordered my PF115LF cab from them and it was excellent price and service I’ve found that some of the other big online names often the new products arrive best described as B stock I know it’s tough as stores get so many returns these days even more so as we can’t visit the stores
  8. I just got the ibassline model and popped it on and thought for recording its handy What other use do they provide ?
  9. Mine is in a RokSak ( like a laptop bag ) somewhere for cables too
  10. Another vote for Ashdown less of a one trick pony I would imagine
  11. Audio interface is a piece of kit to connect an instrument or Mike etc to a PC Many around from Focus, Behringer etc etc Mine was the cheap £30 Behringer U2 which is ok but a little basic
  12. My old home town Ipswich where the Celestion factory was based Excellent speakers and worth a few quid now if U.K. made and not Chinese
  13. Yep I’m able to connect direct to my router with the Ethernet cable and all tested with JK as acceptable latency etc
  14. You say direct but are you using Jamkazam as I don’t have any plug ins ?
  15. The amp is the Ashdown Rm800 EVO II
  16. Hi folks I’m looking at trying Jamkazam with my remote music buddies I’ve set up my Behringer U2 interface and now need advice on how to connect my bass to the interface 1: direct into Audio Interface ? 2: DI from bass amp to Audio Interface Anyone got any suggestions please Also I will be listening through headphones connected to the Audio Interface

    PF800

Since I changed the PF800 for the Ashdown RM800 I’m back using fingers and it’s working well
  18. It’s possible as long as the fan and air vents are clear etc Tolex is like a cloth covering that is glued on to the wood and can be tricky making a neat job but with practice it’s not too bad Ive made cabs before and painted them matte black and they look ok but never as good as company made
  19. I would love a vertical 210 cab for my RM800 rated to say 600w and a sensible price around £400 !!
  20. I ordered the RokSak Large bag from Bass Direct £34 delivered Fits the RM800 very well with a little space at the end and zipped pockets for cables
  21. Yep I amended my post as I believe it’s correct +6db increase would be impressive and balanced between matching cabs .. thank you Bill
  22. I’m sure that’s correct and two matching cabs equalling 4ohms will give me rated amp output and that would be very loud 🤟
  23. Well the Ampeg is rated to 400W and I can’t see me running it anywhere near its limit as being an 8ohm cab I would be running the RM800 flat out !! Two together I could then get full amp output but unlikely I would need 800W Might just look to add a second PF115LF
  24. I think hauling a large 410 cab about is a step in the wrong direction Two lighter cabs is more practical I think and you can choose to gig one or both depending on venue etc Granted a 410 would sound great but I think the future is smaller and lighter cabs
  25. That’s very true I’m adding some mids and taking a little bass out. As Shape IN adds 50hz boost you cannot achieve the same sound with only the EQ etc I like to think of it as enhancing the SHAPE sound ( smiley face ) and just adding a bit more punch. It seems to work 👍
