  1. The tone controls on CTM amps are confusing and if like the CTM100 a nightmare at times It’s the reason I sold mine in the end as it had a lack of EQ adjustment

  3. I’ve listened to the 310 and ST comparison on the BF website and I think I prefer the clarity of the ST The 10” sound warm and vintage yet the 12” sound more modern and what you put in is what you get out, I prefer that I think as I can remove EQ or add EQ but not if it’s baked in to the speakers. Im thinking no tweeter ? So do I go for it or carry on just dreaming about it !! ( sad ) !!!
  4. I’m considering the new 310 BF cab
  5. As a guide mine ( same rig as new ) sold for around £700 ! I did let it go cheap as I wanted it gone but I think around £800 -£900 is about what you will achieve
  6. So that may actually be a benefit for pick players where I tend to add bass to fill out the tone more so than finger style
  7. Are you selling your BF cab ?
  8. Are these cabs as good as they claim ? Considering a purchase if I can find one second hand ideally I like the light one cab does all idea How do they sound for say rock / pop

  10. I’ve had both, much preferred the LBT as a nicer amp tone
  11. I tried out my TE1200 tonight with the band and it’s very very nice sounding I know it’s not 500W but it’s an impressive amp for sure
  12. GLWTS Sold exactly the same rig on here last month but for a lot less money !! Someone got a bargain when I sold it so I’m hoping they enjoy an amazing rig
  13. I had years back a USA EB Musicman 2 EQ and it was a lovely bass More recently I had the Sterling Ray34 in hope it would sound close ?? It didn’t I found it disappointing on most points and sold it on. I still prefer a basic PBass ( passive ) that just seems right for everything! So sadly I don’t rate the Sterling Sub series albeit they are a low cost bass and a good bass for some just not for me
  14. For me I think it’s several things on the TE1200 that offer a better sounding amp The bass EQ frequency values are not as low as say Ampeg and Ashdown and this seems to make it less “ wooly” or “ dark” sounding as it’s 70hz. The dual compressors are excellent and the clean headroom is fantastic. I think the TE1200 can get close to the Ashdown or Ampeg sound especially with a pedal in front but its fair to say they can’t near the sound of the TE1200 and that’s what surprised me, a noticeable clarity and great sounding amp
  15. There is definitely something special about the TE1200, maybe the EQ frequency points or the dual compressors but it sounds lovely. I was tempted last year but the new price put me off slightly but the purchase on here was a great deal
  16. Yep I found my “mojo” again for playing in a band New people and better songs Great fun buying gear and discovering some great amps !
  17. New unused Ampeg Micro VR bass head purchased from Peach Guitars last month and never used. All original packaging and instructions plus mains lead Loud amp for 200w Courier delivery in U.K. add £10.00
  18. Having originally planned to quit with all my lovely bass rigs sold ( except cabs ) I had the opportunity to join a new band that gave me my mojo for playing again Frantically looking for new amps but used I found myself searching on here for some “ different amps” I hadn’t tried before Enter EBS Reidmar 750 wow a cracking amp and very nice sounding with a better EQ than previous amps I have owned Next enter EBS Reidmar 752 same as above but newer less powerful into 4ohms version ( decided to keep this one ) Next TE1200 omg bloody amazing amp ( keeping ) So I’ve found the EQ frequencies on these amps especially the “ low” is more to my liking compared to many Ashdown, Ampeg, Orange etc amps I’ve owned. Never thought about EBS as a brand but they make an excellent very decent sounding amp. The TE1200 is just a nudge above them for sound quality but very close and one of the nicest sounding amps I’ve owned. All have good built in compressors so no more pedals to worry about. Hopefully that’s it with my new stock of gear !
  19. No he’s a cool dude that will be showboating up front out of my way !
  20. Wow 4 pages of response to my question !! I’m looking to flip sides and go stage left ( next to lead guitarist ) and see how that works out
