Used my A58 last night and I agree I’ve had 6-8hrs out of mine from the charge it came with from new ! Great wireless and sensible size too Nice little storage case included

When I sold my MB58R 102 cab the chap came round with the MB CMD121 combo and connected my cab to it. Without it sounded boxy and not much low bass. With my cab it was deeper, fuller and of course louder. Massive improvement

Well sometime later since I posted this I’m now 100% playing with a pick and still prefer the triangle shape pick and tend to use the Dunlop “ Flex” series in 1.0mm The magic for me playing with a pick = good amp and compressor, cab with 12” speakers, PBass and mids slightly scooped in EQ The Flex series has a warmer tone compared to Ultex or Tortex pics but not as soft as nylon

Valve amps are not just tone it’s feel when you play through one Different to solid state for sure

And very expensive!

The TE Elf is also a good choice into a decent 4ohm cab As a rig for £600 it’s possible

I’ve just got the new XVIVE. A58 5.8ghz wireless and it’s very good I’ve owned Shure wireless systems, Boss, Live 6 and low cost Lekato but the XVIVE is very good and works well Not crazy money but a decent mid priced quality bit of kit

I think for this pedal if it’s around £300 new hopefully it will be a great choice and one I would jump at I’m more interested in the drive, EQ. Chorus, compressor, blend and having multiple programmable channels would be perfect for a gigging bassist Definitely will get one when they hit the stores

I like the HiMass too except I found it’s extra length not ideal and harder to get very low action due to the base thickness. No such issues with the Gotoh

TE1200 gets my vote Awesome amp excellent dual compressors and tons of head room Not exactly heavy but not a lightweight amp either really EICH T900 is amazing too and that’s very light

Yep my reason to change the BBT style is the crap saddles / screws that seem to be used today The Gotoh and others are far superior build quality and it’s such a simple low cost upgrade why wouldn’t you ?

Just a warning if anyone fits a hi mass bridge then decides to remove it and fit the smaller BBT style you will have indents in the bass body finish Happened to me on two Player Series basses
