1. I've got the 7 string version of the S540, from '91 - mine unaltered would go for about £650. Do you know what year yours is? Have a look on www.ibanezregister.com, might give you a better idea.
2. Sweeeet. I'm looking forward to what their new stuff is going to sound like!
3. They are indeed I'm intrigued to see what they do vocalist wise after this though... I'm sooo going to be at that gig though. Wish I could go to the Watford show as well!
4.
I had a thumb and loved it, but I would prefer a 34" scale length.
Damnit, I've got one too... That really is a lovely looking bass, what about trading for a right arm...?
5. Damn, good work there. Just got a message back from someone about this! Congrats on the sale!
6. I'll stick this thread under a few peoples noses, I know a couple of non-basschatters that are on the lookout for basses at the mo.
7. Bloody 'ell, that was quick! Sorry to hear about your injury and having to sell that Ped, that sucks. I didn't realise there were so many people from these Oxford parts on here (Cowley road and Abingdon for me).
8. That bass does indeed sound nice!
9. I haven't been able to listen any of the sound clips
10. Great news on it going for that amount, that's an awesome sell. Sorry to hear you're finishing playing bass though?? Good lucky with any new musical ventures!
11. That IS a nice looking bass! I keep toying with the idea of selling my 5 and getting something else for a change - can't keep the same bass line up for more than a year. Hmmmmmmmmm...
12. What's an oppertuity? More to the point, what's wod?? AND only 33" scale length???
13.
Hell's teeth, I might even put mine up for sale again if that's any guide. Mine's not all original but is is a '79 at heart.
I agree! I've got a Musicman with a pre EB body but modern Musicman neck so wouldn't go for as much as this, but still...!
14. Damnit! There are so many nice basses here at the moment! Have a drooly bump on me.
15. I would actually sell my face to get that bass (if anyone would actually buy it). I imagine that going for a lot more than £950. Good luck with the sale!
16. Most people find this band quite hard to stomach, but I reckon Michael Macivor from Candiria is a bit of an underrated legend. Norman Watt Roy, I'm not sure I'd say he was totally underrated, but he is a total legend.

18. You would think they would get a better website built to reflect the prices, their site is rubbish!
19.
Sorry - for the shouty title of this post - but this looks awesome - Mr Jenkinson doing his very FIRST solo bass show - with saxophonist Evan Parker - i'll be very Jazz but it'll be well worth seeing - I just bought tickets (they are a very reasonable £15 each) but they are selling fast: https://www.southbankcentre.co.uk/all-event...uarepushe-16630 Hope to see some of you there - it's the day after my birthday so it'll be a quality birthday present! Cheers Mike
My GOD, I am so there. That's going to be the absolute dogs proverbials!

I'll be up for going to this!
2) Water Rats Rehearsal Studios in Surrey - went to something there before and it was OK but we'd probably need 2 rooms... Here's a link: http://www.waterrat.co.uk/?gclid=CI6M7LuYlowCFRooEAodfR83eA
Ooh, used to practice there. Prices and rooms are good but it may be a tight squeeze and it might get a bit sweaty but it's definitely a good option.
21.
well first time after practice last night my left ear was really hurting, still is to be honest so i think now is the time to do something about it (might be a bit late but better than not at all) seeing as my amp is now really chucking out the volume. so is it possible to pull over the sticky from the last forum or shall we just start afresh. recommendations
Ach, my right ear is significantly more ringy than my left from playing with loud drummers. I've got a pair of Doc pro's that I use for gigs and I usually use some slightly more non foam hardcore ones (forget what they are, picked 'em up from a music shop) for practice as we used to do it in a small room. Get some doc pro's, they're about 12 quid and worth getting.
22.
I had a short-lived Warwick endorsement... this was back when my old band were doing pretty well, we had a big festival appearance coming up, we had the album out, and were pretty active. At the time, a lot of Warwick's UK endorsers had slipped below the radar - Stuart Zender had left Jamiroquai, Glen Diani wasn't doing anything after One Minute Silence split up, and so on, so they were after new blood. I got our manager at the time to send them our press pack, and they got back to me and offered me an endorsement... this wasn't a full-on "free basses" deal though, more like a 60% off list price deal. So I got a Streamer Jazzman... and really didn't like it (horrible, horrible, baseball-bat neck). In the end, I told Warwick I wasn't interested in pursuing the endorsement anymore, and sold the Jazzman for more or less list price. Thank you Warwick! Basically, you have to be actively gigging in reasonably high-profile situations, with some visibility at gigs and in the press. You need a good press pack, and a tenacious manager to chase it up.
I had an artist endorsement thingy from Warwick too for a while - got uber discount and some sets of Warwick blacks, plus the loan of a couple of spankingly nice Thumb 5 neck thru basses. Got to play a few different Warwicks in gigs and stuff too. Then MAD had their big change around and moved to Manchester or wherever they are now. I've lactated more than I've had word back from them since then (and I don't exactly spurt milk out of my nips).
