1. Thanks J! Man, it's a real shame to let this beastie go, but hopefully it'll go to another good Basschat home.

That shop upsets me. I hate going in there, it makes me want to rob banks.
3. Don't know on that one I'm afraid mate... This is the only Mesa bass amp I've played through.
4. Hi, I'm from Oxford as well. Welcome!
5. Sold. It's a Mesa Boogie Basis M2000: 2 channels (1 tube, 1 solid state), 600 watts of meaty, punchy goodness. Each channel features its own eq, gain, volume, compression and has like, 84 different things on the back that I've never really played with. This is the best sounding amp I've ever owned even if I don't know how to use it properly! The condition is not too bad, but has seen some use. The front and back panels look in good condition and it's been kept in a Black Rat rack case most of the time I've owned it. The footboard is a bit temperamental, but apart from this everything is ok. I haven't had it serviced since I've owned it though. I will also include the rack case with this amp. SOLD. Here's some info from the Mesa website - Simul-State™ exists at the Vortex of tube and MOS FET technology. Simul-State operates as a power block of tube-driven MOS FETs providing lightweight, high power, two-space portability. More than a token 12AX7, this scheme is the BASIS for a whole new sound. Viewed from the helm, the pilot sees two fully evolved preamps - one tube, one solid state. Each channel includes a complete set of five rotary controls, a 9-band auto assignable Graphic EQ, Bright switches and dedicated shelving compression. The tube channel is equipped with a high-gain overdrive mode; the solid state channel includes a semi-parametric bass filter that can be selected for four or five string instruments, tuning the lows for your fundamental. Footswitching goes beyond mere channel selection: The M-2000 brings the two channels together to personalize a new sound - all yours - when you call up a blend in the Mix Mode. A pan control, front and center, determines the ratio of the preamp channels. For example, use the Mix Mode to combine the clean focus of the Field Effect Channel with a touch of overdrive Gain from the Tube Channel. Or any combination. Shelving compression per channel allows you to select the frequency and determine the ratio, thus expanding the menu of Mix Mode options. So many possibilities...get the Field Effect pumping, leave the Tube side fully dynamic and blend to taste. An FX Loop with adjustable crossover frequency lets you add effects where you want them and keep the rest of the spectrum pure. It also doubles as an output source for bi-amping. A massive toroidal power transformer supplies 12 musically industrial MOS FETs mounted in a fan cooled heat sink tunnel for 2000 watts of peak power. RMS rating exceeds 600 watts into 4 ohms. 6. Hi all, Back up for sale is my 2x10 Mesa cab. Price reduced as I need to shift it. 600 watts, silver grille. It's a great little cab that churns out some serious volume. It's served me well over the past 3 odd years... I've not played that many gigs since I've owned it, but every gig I've played it's sounded great onstage with a lot of presence. It's in good condition, although there is scuffing on the corner protectors and a bit of wear on the handles (see last picture). Sold
7. Wow, that's one seriously awesome looking rig... Good luck with the sale and I hope everything works out well!
8. That's good news the damage to the neck wasn't too bad, certainly looks like it's been restored a treat. Bet it plays well too. Awesome, I wasn't too sure when it would have been made. It's good to have an estimate on how old it actually is!
9. Damn this bass is nice. Would you accept souls in trade?
10. Hi Nick, the neck is a Stingray neck... I used to own a fretted Stingray and both necks felt pretty much the same, string spacing and all.
Spooky - I've got a pre-EB Sabre neck (fretless conversion) that I put a custom Stingray body on! Put these two together, and you could make a couple of basses that make a bit more sense than they do right now......
Hah, no way! Damn, that's a nice looking bass. I do agree though, they would make more sense with bits swapped over! Where did you find the pre-EB neck?
11. This bass is now sold and the deed is almost done. Good bye lovely 4 string
12.
argh, if this was a 5-er I'd snap your arm off!
Damn, that's a shame - I just pulled my 5 string from sale!
13. As far as I know, the board is indeed original - it certainly doesn't look like any work has been done on it. It's a 3 band eq chap.
14. Oops, price added *ahem*. It is indeed a genuine MM neck. The only non MM part is the bridge as far as I know.
15. SOLD! This midi controllable rack effects processor is a great compliment to a good preamp; on board effects such as chorus and flange, delay, reverb, multi tap etc. don't colour the sound of the preamp at all. There's no on board distortion - clean and distortion will be your pure amp sound. The controls are really easy to use and you can map all of your patches to match any presets on a preamp with midi. I had this linked to a JMP-1 preamp using a midi foot controller to switch between distorted rhythm, lead and clean patches... This made my life a lot easier as I previously used an array of stomp boxes that would occasionally stop working mid set. It's been gigged a few times, but has always been kept in a rack so is in good condition. There are a few marks around the screw holes on the rack ears, over the back part and a couple of slight marks on the metal on the front, but they aren't too bad. There are also marks on the top quite far back and on the bottom. This will come with the original power supply, although recently it cut out (it didn't when I tested it last though), so it may be worth picking up a newer one. I don't have a hard copy of the manual any more, but can send a pdf of it if you want a soft copy. Both the JFX-1 and the JMP-1 are starting to get quite rare now, which is a shame as they are both cracking bits of kit. SOLD! Thanks for looking.
16. I've decided to part ways with my bass microsynth. I've owned this marvellous pedal for about 6 years I think and it's seen me though a lot of gigs and rehearsals. Condition is ok - the case is fine, but due to over zealous singers, 3 of the tic tac slider bits have broken off . I've still got them though, but I've never tried to repair them. Comes in the original wooden box, instructions and power adaptor. SOLD
17. THIS BASS IS NOW SOLD Up for sale is my Musicman fretless in translucent green. The body is a Sabre body with twin humbuckers, dated in the neck pocket at 16th August 1988 with a newer neck (dated 14th September 1999) and a custom built bridge. The previous owner told me this work was done by the Bass Gallery in London, although I can't verify this unfortunately. I bought this bass about 4 years ago now and have only used it a couple of times live. This is such a fantastic bass to play - the action is great and the tone is awesome, although it would probably benefit more from flatwound strings instead of roundwounds. Condition is used - as the body is over 20 years old, there are some dings and marks and the pickup covers are cracked a bit. The neck is in good condition, there are a couple of dings on the headstock right on the end though. SOLD Here's a few pics - There are a few more here - http://s41.photobucket.com/albums/e277/Bun...man%20fretless/ Thanks for looking!
18. Thanks Chris and Mikhay! I really don't want to see the back of this, but needs must unfortunately. I've used it for a few different styles and it's always worked well for me! When I've got more money and space, I'll be getting me a neck thru 4. Or an Infinity. I freakin' love the tone of this bass (and my other two Thumb basses!). Alas the price reflects how much I need to sell it! Ahpook, I don't remember having any neck dive problems with this when playing it live, there is some but I've never found it a problem. My 5 string neck through can be a bit of a pain for that sometimes but generally it's ok! With basses I've had in the past with real neck dive probs, I owned a Warlock for a while and that was ridiculous, so I used gaffer tape to create friction on the strap and that made it a lot easier to handle.
19. To liberate some space in my weeny flat, up for sale is my Thumb 4 bolt on. This bass has served me well over the past few years (think I've owned it for 4 now), being my trusty steed for a lot of the gigs I played in that time. This bass has been well looked after, so it's in great condition. Although there are a couple of small marks on the body - there's one near the jack plug and a couple of small ones on the back. There's also a mark on the headstock tip where it met my wall (the mark is some of the paint that came away from the wall). Also the volume pot has lost a bit of its blackness on the sides due to my using it. The serial is M-120655-05 so I believe that makes it 4 years this December. It comes with Warwick gig bag and has the handy Warwick book thing with tools and manual. It'll also come with the strap, the bass has the Warwick straplock things (not the strap in the first pic though). Everything is stock on the bass, nothing's been tampered with or changed (apart from strings!). Sold.
20. Sweet video! Looks really good. I'm impressed!
