Hi everyone,

Unfortunately there has been a balls up involving Royal Fail and the tax people meaning my clain for incapacity benefit is basically back to square one after a month of waiting.

In the meantime I will be selling my Jazz bass ans stripping my bass collection back down to my two Vigiers and just concentrating on keeping those safe.

So here we have the opportunity to buy what is definitely the best jazz I have played.

Bacchus 02STRONG EXT-36 Jazz Bass
Completely hand made, two piece ash body, 3 piece maple neck with laminates, 36", 6 bolt tongue/groove joint.
Pearl binding around bidy/neck, MOP block inlays
18mm spacing at bridge
2 piece bridge piece
bassmute installed
Bartolini BC soapbar pickups and NTMB pre-amp
Villex booster circuit
very nicely figuired fingerboard (Jacaranda) and top (unsure of wood)
Fitted hard case

Cost new is about £1,600.

Signs of wear - slight marks in the natural ash on reverse from belt button etc

Comes with superb low setup!

It's the absolute pits that you've had to come to the point of selling of treasures like this, especially considering the physical aspect of your injury... I soooo wish I could get on with jazz style basses (damn, 5 strings come to think of it) but I can't believe for one minute that this won't be snapped up when fellow BCers get home from work.

Good luck with your recovery and the imminent sale(s)!

Even on counting the pennies I am still quite a bit short (well a bit short, but enough that it might be considered a slap in the face offer for this beauty) - somebody buy this cracking bass and help Ped out... and take it out of my sight!!!

Hi matey,

I am in Witney, just down the road. Jacaranda is like Rosewood; it has a very rich punch and is very attractive to look at.

You are welcome to come and have a play and time apart from Saturday morning/early afternoon as I think I am off to see my Gran!

Cheers

Bloody 'ell, that was quick! Sorry to hear about your injury and having to sell that Ped, that sucks.

I didn't realise there were so many people from these Oxford parts on here (Cowley road and Abingdon for me).

Thanks chaps. This should help me survive for the next little while - I am offski to the bank later to try and extend my overdraft until this benefit money arrives, I get the distinct feeling that by the time it does I will be a bleedin headmaster.

Sad to see the wonderful bass go (as I will be with teh matching 24F) but it is going to a friend and I will probably cross paths with her again when funds allow.

Cheers
