1. There are lots of fans here. They're pretty cheap too.
Yes, but unfortuately it has to be done! Especially if you can't afford the £200 that they ask for it when they're producing them for tenners.
Oh so, that's alright then.
3. Mad Professor is the "production" arm of the BJFe boutique pedal company. I have their Deep Blue Delay. It's very good. As you say, for £250 it's got to be bloody good to beat a mutron/meatball.
4. Jeepers. That sounds expensive.
5. You guys are giving me GB GAS
6.
Take your point Joe and that's probably where I'll go. However, it's been interesting moving from my PJ to the UV70 in that, despite the fact they both have unbelievably tight pockets, the PJ sustained for hours whilst the UV70 doesn't (not a problem for me on fretted but a significant one on fretless). OK, it sure ain't bad and still beats plenty of other equally expensive basses, but it's made me wonder whether the expense of getting an NYC build is worth it. I'll see how the Fender/Warmoth/Sadowsky hybrid goes before making the decision. Another problem I have is that I LOVE the Fender neck and I doubt even Roger could make one that feels as good, or at least, not at a price I could afford
I know what you're saying, and of course all basses are different. -BUT- I look at all the EXTRA that you get with an NYC over a Metro - and once you're spending £1600 on a Metro, it doesn't seem to me to be that big of a step to £2400 for an NYC. YMMV!
7. Is this one of that newer ones that has the mounting brackets for a Pedal Power 2 underneath?
8. Personally, I'd get an NYC.
9.
Hey mate, firstly you take a cheap bass out to the US in a hard case and you leave it there, you bring your NYC back in the case.
Before you get involved in any complex plans like that I'd give Kevin a call about international shipping.
10. No, they're not worth it. That's why we all play MIM Fenders.
11. Oh hubba hubba
12. Beautiful bass.
13. Yes, that one's gorgeous.
14. They're iconic looking instruments. I'd like to own one. I remember a solid red one with black hardware too - that looked great. Peter - yours is iconic looking and iconic priced aswell (with good reason). I'm looking forward to playing it in October EDIT: Your sig says you have two, one is a Chris Squier signature - what's the other?
15. That's not exactly the one I was talking about, but very similar indeed. What a beaut! Who owns this?
16. Back on basstalk/bassworld there was a member who spent ages putting together an all black Rickenbacker (body, scratchplate, headstock logo etc). Are they still a member? Anyone know what I'm talking about? Cheeaaars!
17. Like it better with black hardware. Hubba.
18. Bit of a bargain, this.
19. Dream bass right there for me. Shame I have nothing I feel like trading.
20. Hi, sorry no - it belongs to someone else now
21. Too many tasty basses
22. Wow - is that the one from Paul's? Beautiful. Hubba hubba!
23. The second deal I've done with Terry. We've now traded items of value in excess of 2 grand. He's a top bloke, does what he says, easy to get along with, very accomodating and you should see his packaging!
24. Yes I am. 2 ohm load. It seems fine. In my opinion the second cab doesn't alter the tone, just increases the volume.
25. It's amazing how thigns fall together...
