1. I think the finish contributes to the tone on Celinders. I think the thick gloss on the neck/body contributes to the punch and brightness. I wouldn't do anything to mine for being scared of killing mojo. Mine is truly the best bass I've ever played. I also spent a long time messing with strings and the ones I like the most as the Thomastik Infeld Power Bass. I'd recommend them to and Celinder player.
2. It's gotta be Harvest.
3. Bump - offers?
4. Talk to me, let's do a deal
5. Best Flanger I've ever used, I'm just into clean tones at the moment
6. It's insane. It really depends what you want a delay for.
7. Just call Mark - I'm sure he'll be happy to see you, spending money or not. . . . I warn you, you might go expecting NOT to spend money.
8. I don't see how that's a "benefit" over, say CNC.
9.
machine cut by hand
Say what now?
10. Great song. I've never tried to learn it, I should.
11.

Beautiful. I always have a little bit of GAS for these transition bound, but dotted necks. Unbelieveably sexy. I've not played a better "70s" Jazz than my Celinder. I have played a variety of "70s" CS basses. That said, the Celinder has it's faults - and getting a new one is apparently nigh-on impossible.
12. Why not call them? See: My previous discussion on telephone allergies.
13. Also, one thing to consider: A £600 bass + a £300 refin does not necessarily end up being a £900 bass. It normally stays a £600 bass.
14. I have Big Singles in my Sadowsky, and they're very mid-focussed. Not *that* clear in the bass, and quite a harsh top end. I love the sound, but judging by your band I think the sound might not be what you're after - but what do I know? I don't have your ears
15. Make sure my bowels are evacuated, have one bottle of beer, have two bananas (an old drummer friend of mine said something about natural beta-blockers, that reduce the adrenaline uptake/effect, actually I just like bananas) and compulsively check my cables are all wired up correctly. Also spend most of my time reinforcing to the sound engineer that under no circumstances is he to shoot Phantom Power back up his lines at my gear.
16. Nordstrands have a very unique tone, IMO. If you haven't tried them then I woulnd't gamble.
17. I *do like* the ACG preamp, but you really need to try it before you get one put in. I'm a big big fan of Aguilar preamps, despite the fact that in my Celinder I've got the Greengrove and in my Sadowsky I've got the Sadowsky
18. This looks great
19. I'm suprised how quickly the whole thing sold. Hope you enjoy your new gear, Alex and Clarky.
20. I don't understand the aversion to the telephone in the modern world. My girlfriend won't even phone the take-away.
21. Why not just phone one of his distributers instead of listening to hear'say on the internet? The Bass Gallery are the UK agent, and I understand Martin and Christian are good friends. I'm sure he'll know/
22. *I'm going away on Friday night and would like to have this sorted out before bump*
23.
nooooooooooo I think I'm moving soon and to a smaller place, but I've wanted this for so long
You deserve it. Bring out the full potential Walkabout. Haha.
