The main thing I disrespect about X-Factor is that when the performances are played back later in the show they have clearly had post processing applied to make the vocal sound better.

Agree - Paul's demo of the various amps was one of the highlights for me. Also honourable mention to Russ for his demo of some of the basses through Alan's (Homer's) AG500/GS112 rig. Food for thought - and I like the sound of my Sadowsky more than I thought I did!

So, your amp worked fine from plugged directly into your bass - but not when plugged through his Heath Robinson setup . . . aaaand that's your amps fault? Right!

Parcelfarce charge a £12 handling charge - but to be fair to them it's the same if the duty is £3 or £3000 quid.

I can't recommend the Sonic Research "Turbo Tuner" enough. The superlative pedal tuner IMO.
