I know what you mean. I have mine in a 3u flightcase along wit a TE uv light unit. It looks the biz but weighs a load more. On the plus side if safer to transport. You could always find someone hand with a sewing machine?

Mine was well past it when I bought it years ago. My advice would be to get some rack ears and put it in a 2U flightcase.

+1 for the Rotodounds. But don't fotget the mirror scratch plate as well.

Stagg foldable guitar stand that fit's nicely in my gig bag. Great for practice & rehersals were I don't need to get my Hercules stand out.

We have started to play Knights of Cydonia. I have mentioned to the rest of the band that it would be great if I played the harp piece that Chris Wolstonhome plays live. I am always heard with my Stingray and the low mids boosted on my TE head. If you want to know what you and the rest of the band sounds like then during the sound check get right out front. I use 2 leads linked with a double female connector just for that & then change back to 1 lead for the gig. It's a cheap solution top an age old problem.

Welcome to the jungle by Guns 'N Roses. Great bassline that needs to be picked for max impact. Had a couple of run throughs so should be good for first gig in the new year.

Don't know about this version, but years ago a band i was in did the Fast Freddies Fingertips version. Sounds similar though. Wasn't too dificult i seem to remember, just keep up with the semitone key changes.

I have used Dunlop 1mm nylon picks for years. However I was at the Mansons guitar show and bagged these for free from the Ernie Ball stand, they came with a pick tin and they are great. Yeah, Oasis are about the songs, especially Liam's voice (which was great) and the wall of sound guitars. Noel played the bass on all of Definately Maybe and most of What's the Story. I had a quick peek of Tony Carrols biog in WHS and he said Guigsy was a bit wobbly lived but he managed to work with that, but in a studio it didn't cut so Noel deleted all the tracks and did them himself. We do Cigs & Alchohol and TBH I made my own bassline up that I enjoy playing. Best not to mention Oasis & basslines in the same sentance.

I agree. I love the look of my Trace UV light and my mirror scratch plate reflecting the lights back.

Never bothered me but our guitarist insists on being to the left of the drummer as we stand so I end up the other side. Previously I used to be on the drummers snare side more often than not.

I don't shout about it but most people know I play and a few have seen me play. I work with a friend who is a bassist. I have bought my Stingray and speakers off him. I also lined him up with the job.

I agree about going to last page. I have mentioned this in another post and it would be a great improvement.

If you can find a 2nd hand Aria Pro 2 fretless then go for it. I really like mine. +1 on going lined to start. Years ago I had a MM Stingray 5 string fretless that was unlined. A beauty but a bit intimidating at first.

Keep an eye out for it's re-listing. Bet it goes for few quid with some of you keen to get your hands on it for spares!

Brass fretless fingerboard, wow! I like Gong & have just checked their tour dates and they are in Exeter on Dec 14th, but no tickets left.

Yeah forget the comments. Interesting as a school science project thought. No 5 string version yet!
