  1. I love my Digitech Bass Squeeze. Got it cheap, I like the split low/high bands and the way it compresses and enhances the tone at the same time. Do I care that Ovnilabs slated it? .... nah couldn't care less. It does what I want it to. ☺️
  2. No one touches my #1 bass let alone gets to play it. It also helps to have no friends. 😄
  3. Schaller M4. It's a shame they stopped making these. I have a set plus Xtender on my *non-custom shop* dream bass though. I like Grover machine heads too.
  4. Amps: " Recently serviced" By that you mean you sprayed a bit of pot cleaner about then.
  5. " This is without doubt the best ever, most fantastic bass / effect pedal / amp I've ever owned, ever. " Yeah? can't be all that if you're selling it then.
  6. Q. How do you define the word "heft" ? A. This bass rig.
  7. Those shops are full of stock 'cos there's no musicians around to buy anything. 😄 I'm way over on the other side on the Welsh Border... it's mostly farmers with ruddy complexions, wellies and nervous looking sheep here. Definitely nowhere local to me, though I think there's a small handful of venues in Hereford itself. I've not found a decent band to join to play at any of them though! Yeah, I wouldn't want to go upsetting that lot at the camp, then again If you've heard Jack Dee's SAS story, it just about sums up every bloke in Hereford of a Friday night.
  8. I have a DSL 3" strap. It's well made, the colour works well for me, and is comfortable enough to use with my bass. The so called "padding" however is a joke. It would have been sent back for a refund had I bought it new at nearly £40. Good job I only paid about £5 for it. I also have one of those Planet Waves shoulder pad things which is not bad but slips around on the strap too much so always having to adjust it. The best strap I have owned has to be the Gibson Fat Boy, a real heavy duty monster of a strap built to take the weight of a Les Paul. In fact it weighed nearly as much! Sadly not made anymore but I have seen them pop up on eBay every so often.
  9. Don't move down to Herefordshire. I can't even find any decent musicians or bands to join!
  10. It looks like something I would expect to find on MDP's ebay page minus wonky machine heads. It's even In the same price range too.
  11. I've had a Jubilee cab couriered to me no problem before with just some protection across the front grill. I also got a quote for a DBS cab (36kgs) recently which was about £40. It could be an option if you are struggling to get anyone to pick it up. Buyer will still be getting a very well priced cab even with an extra cost. It would be a shame to see this end up getting abuse in a rehearsal room somewhere. I'm broke at the moment sadly, but would definitely be interested in a few weeks time.
  12. My Marshall is class H. I won't pretend to know all the technical ins and outs but I understand it utilizes a secondary power supply that kicks in to handle massive peaks. Either way it sounds awesome and definitely the best sounding amp I've owned by far.
  13. Hopefully the subsequent video will only take half the time of the first yawn-fest due to the fact it's only one pickup to be outraged about instead of 2.
  14. £237 quid for an Aria Magna bass? !...pahahahaaa... *cough*....haaaa
  15. I have owned one of these, it is a beast of a cab. Shame it's not a DBS 4x10, or I would be on my way down to Bristol. Someone will be getting a bargain and a half at that price. 👍
  16. I would spend the extra money and get the actual Aria Pro II version. It is their original design after all, which I quite like. I nearly bought a Detroit bass a while ago. Sorry but not tempted by a HB copy of an already relatively budget friendly instrument even if the price is favourable. Just my personal opinion.
  17. When I was gigging I always had just one bass at a time. I played a Korean Ibanez ATK for a few years, and an Aria Pro II for quite a while when I first started playing. Both served me well. Over the last few years I've gone through loads of basses, but now currently I have just 2 with another turning up next week, so will have 3. I could absolutely just live with my Washburn only as it does everything I want it to, sounds great and just feels right with a nice low action which I like. I also fitted a bass xtender plus double stop lever so can get a low D and a Low B if I need it. It's nice to have a break and play another bass for a bit of tonal variation and a different feel every so often, but it also helps me appreciate my main bass even more when I come back to it.
  18. Guns And Roses? Homer....? No, see, look.... you said "Beethoven" and then...... actually no forget it, the joke just isn't funny when it needs explaining. 😐
  19. How can you compare AC/DC to a film about a St Bernard dog !
  20. Is it part of the new Harley Benton " Can't Be Arsed To Paint It Properly" range?
  21. He's definitely "making a humbucker out of a single coil". 😐
  22. It's still a great sounding short scale bass regardless of the *not humbucker* issue, which I agree does need to be changed. My world hasn't collapsed because of this revelation however, and I would absolutely get another when I can afford it. In fact I would say one of the best basses I've owned at any price.
  23. #1 - Washburn B-200
