  1. Congratulations and thanks for the little review. I saw one of these in GAK and was highly impressed with the looks and build quality. Sadly, I didn’t get the chance to plug it in!
  2. I have seen these rare CS basses in Fender catalogues from 15 or so years ago, but never in the ‘flesh’. Looks great! GLWYS.
  3. On the set I had, yes. Extended silks for 4 in a row.
  4. 6.8kgs!!! Makes my old Barefaced One Ten look like a right lump! GLWYS
  5. Thanks, it is indeed a beauty. Got it out today for a little noodle and it sounds and plays great. I would happily keep it if I hadn’t fallen for Precisions with a C width neck.
  6. I really, really like this....but sadly, I really, really don’t need it....
  7. Glad you love it! 😁 I am just being honest and as acknowledged by @Cliff Edge providing a little bit of reassurance. 🤞 I have provided my balanced opinions earlier in the thread - I will not buy anything expensive or pre-owned from BD due to bad experiences. I will also not send them anything to sell on commission, again due to a bad experience, but for strings, they get my business.
  8. BD are my go to for strings and have ordered many sets over the years. Never had an issue and delivery is usually within 2 or 3 days from order.
  9. Thanks Jem. I hope you are keeping well! You are most welcome to come and have a play....... 😁
  10. I didn’t mind the old site, at least it was easy to see at a glance what was available (or in theory available!) and thankfully I never paid for anything that was out of stock despite being shown as for sale. So hopefully that is now sorted. What I didn’t like was the amount of inaccuracies - hopefully that will also be fixed! One thing on the new site I absolutely dislike is the totally random (very annoying) and honestly ridiculous RELATED PRODUCTS part. For example, view the 1977 right handed fretless Precision and look at the related products - left handed fretted Hofner! Really! Sometimes, less is more!
  11. @Hazza2004 was looking for one of these. Great basses!
  12. The thinning of the herd continues..... Up for sale is my mint condition 2021 Lake Placid Blue American Original 60s Precision, bought from @Ander87. Strung with Chromes and fitted with a @KiOgon loom it sounds and plays beautifully. The original harness is included. The Maple neck has some nice flame and is capped with a dark Rosewood ‘board. The mint pickguard is a genuine Fender replacement. These basses (especially LPB) are not easy to find and on account of the Nitro finish, even harder to find one in such great condition. The case is in equally great condition and contains all the candy as supplied from new. I can ship this in a Fender box but of course collection in person is preferred. Please feel free to ask any questions or for more pictures.
  13. What a beauty. It looks in amazing condition for a 20 something year old bass.
  14. I feel safe(r) to look at this now because last week I was staying in Ovingdean, about 5 minutes from Brighton! If I had looked at it too much, I would have had to book an Uber for the wife to get home as there was not enough room in the car for her and a new bass! It’s a beauty for sure. GLWYS.
  15. Only £200 and just £15 for postage......bargain!
  16. Bought some strings from the website. Arrived a couple of days later, just as hoped, so all good. 😁 It was odd however that my receipt was for more than I paid! 🤔
  17. Oh dear. At least it is not listed as a Fender. Delighted to see the G string intonation screw has been sorted……..NOT! 😀
