1. Mark got in touch for a upgrade wiring kit for his JHS Vintage P bass, great communications & instant payment, a pleasure to deal with. Cheerz, John
2. Lemon oil every time for me, whenever thing are looking a bit dry - but generally only when I buy a bass - new or previously owned, stick on a set of Flats & check maybe once a year I apply generously with a old toothbrush along the frets & up & down the grain then clean off with cotton pads or a cotton T shirt applying more Lemon oil as required until the rosewood has a bit of colour deep in it. If very dry maybe apply some Beeswax & polish in & off. No masking or faffing required. Edit: Yes removing all the strings at once is not a problem
3. A good honest description from a dealer must be right
4. It's just been on Radio2 news at 1.
5. Very sad
6. Perhaps it's just me then! Earlier I got to the Paypal thing & it said there was a problem with my bank details or card or address - but nothing's changed. Now I'm on my laptop & trying to buy the same thing it doesn't even go to Paypal - ebay says: "Something went wrong. Please try to check out again." so maybe it's ebay not Paypal?
7. Currently waiting in the queue for customer service - ain't it wonderful until it all goes tits up
8. Trying to buy a item on ebay - like you do & it won't take my Paypal!!!

11. Today the usual Ocado delivery arrived, with a driver I don't think had been here before. Upon spotting something 'Marshall' in my hallway he started telling me about his son, his bass & drum playing, place at uni. etc. etc. Then got his 'phone out & showed me his 'music room' - unbelievable coincidences - my room is going through a serious makeover right now & this bass player drum bashing son of this Ocado driver has already got most thing just like mine is going to be, apart from the Marshall item in the hall ssshh! After of course I wished I had asked if he visited Basschat - but I forgot so thought I would ask here
12.
A day from now I'll be a year older.
Me too haha! 65 tomorrow Happy birthday Marvin
13. I would think a needle file to enhance/deepen/enlarge the 'chosen thread' of the saddle should solve it!

Down South on the sunshine coast - I'm always doing odd jobs not least of all wiring repairs, setups, minor repairs, mods - feel free to PM, you don't get if you don't ask I do usually make a small charge for most things lots of pots & parts in stock, my man cave is currently undergoing restoration, but work as normal. If you do drop in you'll be most welcome John

20. TBH you'd almost certainly get more benefit swapping the pots, jack, cap & wiring - for less than £40
21. The Fender Universal is adjustable for almost any shape, I've just had a Jazz on mine - now a Thunderbid & it's the best fitting & stable stand IMO, not so cheap & not so small when folded but highly recommended. http://www.ebay.co.u...38AAMXQlgtS2UtG Not suggesting you buy from US with that sort of postage charge! But if you can find one here! EDIT: eg; http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B00724ZD40/ref=sr_1_2_olp?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1452946558&sr=1-2&keywords=fender+guitar+stand&condition=new

23.
Anyone use one ? They look great, and get some really good reviews. I'm looking for a lightweight collapsible stand for gigs. http://www.amazon.co...00TYHM0DA?psc=1
Only good for symetrical base bass, any offset & it's NFG, so OK for P or Ray certainly not for Jazz or T'bird I use a couple of the Fender folding which are neat but same as above; https://www.dropbox.com/s/qg0g1a8sava7skl/fender-2.jpg?dl=0
24. Another legend - huge loss to world music, R.I.P. Ziggy
