1. Hello, and welcome to the forum. I love good "P" as well, but health issues mean that I can't really justify having everything I would like - though I may still treat myself to a Classic 50's P in Honey Blonde, a 51 RI in Butterscotch (if I see one when I have the money), or a CIJ/MIJ Jazz....or all three if Santa, The Easter Bunny and Cupid decide they want to be nice to me. At least they will go to a good home when I eventually throw a six.....my kids are already arguing who is going to have what, and I'm not even 48 yet.
2. Hello from Wolverhampton. Though I'm originally from darkest West Bromwich

Hello, and welcome to the forum
4. Get both Swap the necks and sell the silver/black/rosewood. I have to admit, I love the Butterscotch/Maple look.
5. Hello, and welcome to the forum.
6. New Model army - Vengence
7. Just had a listen - very nice - as Clarky said, Satisfied is a catchy piece os rock n roll. Somewhere Else, is a really nice number. The overall mix seems to work with the songs, to enhance them. Anyway - IMHO, you are doing everything right - keep it up.

How do

hello, and welcome to the forum. I used to know a guy who had the same issue with his hands - he was affectionately known as "Edward Sausage Fingers", (no offence meant), but he spent ages trying to find a bass with a wide enough neck and string spacong to allow him to get the best out of it.

Hello, Derek, and welcome to the forum.
13. Hello, and welcome to the forum.
14. I think that they are a cracking little unit. There was a thread on here a couple of days ago, where concern was voiced about lag, when changing patches, and some-one mentioned he had had problems with the switches, that he had to replace, but on the whole, the general consensus is that they are pretty good. If you want to experiment have a look here for the other thread I mentioned look here Anyway - have fun with your purchase
15. There was an Aerodyne precision in the "For Sale" section. Precision Bass, with extra Jazz pickup at the bridge, and a Jazz profile neck - I have one, and I love it......but then I am a little out of touch with the current crop of basses, so I am sure some-one will come up with a more suitable alternative for you.
16. Hello. welcome the the world of bass and the forum. I hope you enjoy your stay here.

hi

Hello, and welcome to the forum.
18. It's been nigh on 30 years since anyone called me "lad" - Cheers for making me feel young again.
19. I have used the Zoom fairly extensively for 18 months, and never had a problem with lag (or the switches for that matter). I personally find the EQ a bit crap, and the fuzz/distortion way over the top, but on the whole a great piece of kit. Very solid and reliable. I tried the Pod, but found the constuction worringly flimsy, although a majority of sounds were quite nice. I went with the Zoom, based on the solid construction, and greater array of sounds that I personally liked. Yes it can be a bit fiddley at times to dial in the peramiters that you want, but it soon becomes quite intuitive. There was a post with a link to a site with some interesting patches here ....and to think I used to have everything I needed in a WEM Copycat, Vox Crybaby and a Univox Super Fuzz.
20. Hello, and welcome to the forum.
21. Hello, and welcome to the forum. You will get plenty of advice from the folks here - but before you decide on the next bass, get out there and try as many as you can, when you find the ones you like - head over to the for sale section here....more bargains than you can shake a stick at.
22. It would have to be this one - my first bass, bought around 1972 - for around 25 quid. The next person to get it will have to prise it out of my cold dead fingers. Just about playable - but what price sentimental value
23. There is a thread with a sort of mini-review here Edit - just checked the link and it seems to drop you half way through the thread for some reason - oh well!! just scroll up to the top.

25.
Actually has the opposite effect on me, a signature really puts me off.
This....
Can't think of anything worse............./snip/ Just don't get it..
....and this.....
Due to my natural cynicism, signature instruments put me off as they are just a marketing tool to get more moeny out of punters who may be a fan or follower of the endorsee. Its certainly been a very lucrative strategy for Fender but I'm sure the extra £££'s you spend on a sig model are pretty much wasted.
......and this.
so it is just me then...ho hum.
Seems that way so far.
