I have one, and it works fine for my telecaster at home, but a bass didn't seem too secure on it.

I seriously can't play like I used to, due to health issues - but that doesn't stop me..... Currently at 5 basses and two guitars, all pretty much cheaper stuff - nothing over £500 - and I have my eye on a couple of others. I have often been told that it is a waste of money in my situation. But lets face it, at the very least they are decoration - and how many people speed twice this on a vase - I enjoy playing them when I can, and I know they will go to a good home when I shuffle off this mortal coil - my two kids are already arguing over who is going to get what

I've always loved the '51 style P bass, ever since I first picked up this, 36/37 years ago: [attachment=77082:Angie_1.jpg] I still have that one. I didn't have the cash available to get one of the Fender RI's..... ......but I am now due a 25 years long service award at work, and the amount that they give out these days would means that it would only cost me the price of a replacement pickup (if it needs it). Hmmmm! tempting.

Just listened to some more of your stuff on MySpace and YouTube - really like it. Mrs. A loves the promo video - who was the director? She has just commented that she would like to see some of their other work (I guess she's a bit "arty" as well). I love the whole Baron Samedi and his Zombie musicians thing you have going on there.

I actually tried both of these back to back, when helping Mrs A's son to decide what he wanted. The Washburn was OK as it happens, reasonably well made, quite comfortable and sounded OK for the price. The Ibanez was by far the best of the two though. The overall fit and finish was better, the electrics were superior and the neck was really rather nice. I also tried one of the GSR180's at the same time. To play, it was exactly the sames as the 200, although the sound did seem to lack any real depth - Saying that, my son used a 180 for over a year and was perfectly happy with it. Then there is the Yamaha RBX270 - excellent electrics - I found the sound much better that the Ibanez, but not as nice to play. I know that the above probably won't help much, and the mention of two other models might have muddied the water a bit, but these were my experiences. At the end of the day - you really should get out and try the ones you are particularly interested in, because only you will know what is right for you. If I had to choose one of the two that you mention - it would have to be the ibanez - purely due to the playability of it - I always believe that the one thing most likely to put people of playing, is an instrument that doesn't feel "right" in their hands. Tone/sound can always be changed - but the feel/fit of the thing can't. Hope some of that helps you in your quest.
