Is it any good for metal?
  2. Oh yes, I remember you recounting that tale. That was quite an instrument.
  3. I'm really really tempted by the Hardly Bent Powerplant Powerbank, the lightweight rechargeable thingy. It'd fit beautifully on my board and would supply all the power I need and more. @roceci seemed to be very pleased with it in this thread, is it still going strong 3 years down the line?
  4. I recall reading a Neil Peart interview many years ago in which he said that Phil Gould was one of his favourite drummers.
  5. Rabbit - Chas & Dave
  6. I understand that the Sire P series (P-J) basses have the same thinner neck profile as their V series (Jazz) siblings. The P10s are lovely, properly high-end instruments. https://www.andertons.co.uk/brands/sire/sire-p-series-basses/p10-basses
  7. If really like your Ray and you're ok with the nut width but it's the profile you don't like, have you considered getting a luthier to shave a bit off the depth of the neck? I'd have thought it should be possible. Or even getting an entire new neck made?
  8. It's even worse when you see a bass you quite fancy, then one that you really fancy, then one that you really fancy, then you check your bank and it says "your balance is £hahahanochancemate.00"

  15. Bloody hell. OK, I can't be the only one to have been bitterly disappointed to find Lotus Land are based in the US (thus shafting my chances of seeing them).
  16. Normally this sort of thread goes like this. Here's hoping this one is an exception... I hate this, this and this. What? They're all brilliant. No they aren't. Yes they are. No they aren't. Yes they are. No they aren't. Yes they are. No they aren't. You must be really thick if you think they're any good. Actually they are great and you're the thick one here. Oh fck off. No, you fck off. No, YOU fck off. etc. *lock*
  17. Was that as an accompaniment to the Lobster Thermidor aux Crevettes avec Aubergines in a white wine sauce and garnished with Shallots, or as an amuse-guele beforehand?
  18. Large parts of the Manta and Cavalier were interchangeable. I had a Cavalier 'Sports Hatch' at one time, it was basically a bargain basement Manta GT/J.
  19. I generally wait till I get home and then make myself a sandwich or something. Sit down with a cup of decaf bean and chill a bit. When I start nodding off, I head for the stairs.
  20. £30 posted, or collect it from my gaff for £25 and I'll throw in a cuppa and a chat It's a volume pedal. You can make yourself quieter, and then louder again. Not a lot to say other than that. Plastic but very rugged indeed. It's done years of gigging but there are minimal marks on it. No damage at all. Oh, and it's got a tuner output which is unaffected by the pedal position. And a clever control which allows you to control how quiet the lowest setting is. 0 = silent, 10 = very much not silent. It has served me well for many years but now it's timer to move on. No box alas. Please don't make me use fleaBay.
