2.
It's a risky business with sharp, pointy basses. Looks like she's only a couple of inches away from a nasty gash there!
I am an hetherosexual in every way possible but that woman's vulgarity, is the biggest turn off thing I have ever seen. Please put her away for good, she is runing my libido.
3.
Anyone nominated Yet?? Funnily enough I seen knock off ones yesterday. Why would you
yeah top marks on that one actually the whole range colourwise is jsut like someone's being sick on their breakfast cereals
4. NOTE: It's only 500W when coupled with another 8ohms cab see note at the foot of this message (*) otherwise you have about 200W when played solo. Apart from the fact that they use one of their best production head i.e. the Little Mark Head, all I can tell you is that the cab construction of Mark Bass combo's is one of the best around, they tune their cabs like no other manufacturers, the ply they use is top grade and extremely resonant, you can hit it with a mallet and you would get a note not a thud, they are the bollox! If you are getting one, please don't be like the average lazy tosser that leaves all the eq controls flat and just use the bass eq to get a sound, lazy fukkers I'd shoot the lot of 'em! I encourage you to venture and experiment with tweaking every knob and you will find a vast diversity of sounds which this amp is capable of giving you. The last two knobs are your money knobs VLE and VPF namely Vintage Loudspeaker Emulator and Variable Preshape Filter. The first helps you to morph your sound from modern bright and punchy to a vintage deeper and muddier tone, whereas the VPF alters the eq scoop from enhanced bass/treble and lower mids to the opposite, i.e. enhanced mids and lower bass / treble. (*) Add an extention 2 x 10 Mark Bass to your set up and you will be the loudest mother.... on stage
5. Ben you can save a bit of dosh and slap a couple of Seymour Duncan pickups model SSB-4N (neck) and SSB-4B (bridge) - They're about 50 quid a piece from Thomann in Germany http://www.thomann.de/gb/seymour_duncan_ssb4b.htm https://www.thomann.de/gb/seymour_duncan_ssb4n.htm http://www.seymourdu...sb45_passive_p/ They sound like this:
6.
Ah man, I want details, huge Dingwall fan! I hope this is the TB coming to life at last Although there's a couple of other basses that would look great by them IMHO (Dingwall Jaguar anyone?)
Well ok I can reveal that in fact I am not getting a new bass, only half of it! lol The problem is that I only like maple necks, ok? Last year I found a Dingwall 2nd hand in mint conditions at a very very interesting price from Bass Direct. The bass in question is a Dingwall Afterburner II which at the time only came with a walnut neck and an Arsen (wenge) fingerboard. Now I love that bass but to look at that fingerboard day in day out together with my other basses is a sight for sore eyes, truly the black sheep in the family until... next thing I know Sheldon is starting to make ABII's with maple necks with the same reinforced carbon spars as the walnuit ones, so I asked him if he could make a nice maple one for me, and he said yes! However this one will go to 11, since it's being built from scracth I will ask for a nice aged flame maple, sliglty dark tinted a bit like a rosted one but not that extreme. It's going to be great! I have already 5 people interested to buy my walnut/arsen one so, as soon as the maple one is built and received I will have no problem in passing it on and making most of the cash back.
7. Sorry, but f-ugly to me, and pointless. That's what geetars are for
8. BREAKING NEWS! I woke up on the sensible side of my bed and decided to cancel my order for the Sandberg 5 strings "aged" I simply don't need it. Besides I have another project in the "air" with Mr. Sheldon Dingwall, so... wait and see. Watch this space. p.s.: this is the first time I ever cancel an order, I am embarassed to admit, I've never backed out on a decision before but what's in the pipeline will be more interesting.
9. Fitting that one will require additional drilling into the body. You could probably find the original replacement saddles and keep your bridge as is, if you ask a Gotoh official dealer they might even find the original parts.
10. Ben is your wiring driagram similar to this? http://forum.gibson.com/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=2317 if you need to closely match a typical set of vintage Gibson Thunderbird pots you can look at this website for parts (original Gibson parts i.e. not cheap but they are the blx) http://www.grguitars.com/parts_5electronics.htm The pots you want are EP-PAT500 Gibson brand potentiometer-500K ohm Audio Taper, long shaft
11. alright alright, put the handbag down, Shirley.
12. f##k knows what he is saying lol he lost me when mentioned "camp"
13. This is a take from the song "A New Soul" from Alberto Rigoni's Album - Rebirth It's short and sweet, but hey Manring legendary sound it's all there! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7rPuNqEPZ8
14.
That's a good score with IE! - Did you try Chrome?
No I haven't, but is it worth downloading Chrome just for the test? Bear in mind my broadband is Virgin 50meg, fast as ....#### Every other site I visit it's a breeze. (except this )
15. right... I gave that test another go this time opening a new browser and pasting the link in it starting a new test and got this score, what do I win?
16. I've run that Peacekeeper test and I got this error message at the end of it. Could not find result for key 6nMX. If you trying to benchmark another browser please make sure you have copied the url correctly and try again. I only had the one browser window with the actual peacekeeper test going so I haven't got a clue what that means.
17. likewise dude, hugs to the kids from me.
18.
Really? Nobody's posted the Mothman yet? First in, for once....
Ok. that bass fell from the ugly tree and hit every branch on it's way down, shortly followed by the bird holding it... haha. (apologies if she is someone's gf or wife.
19.
You cry like a girl !! Ebmm don't make duff basses everybody know that !! But yeah follow grand wazoo's advice he is never wrong.... Well there was that one time With a sheep, no wait he was right no amount of soap ever got me clean again ! 20.
21. Because most of you lot are like a flock of bah bah sheep fitted with blinkers. I mean gee, I do love my classic Fender basses but I am not afraid to broaden my horizons and dip my toes into the unexpected and only by doing so I discovered the magic of Dingwall that only a few have dared to try just because they are afraid of the fanned frets, when deep down once you gather the courage to try them you'll find that you would be easily play one at a gig all night and not even notice they are wonky.
22.
There seems to be an issue with your bass!! The frets aren't on straight!
yes neener neener...
23. Nice that but...... nicer... and only 7.15lbs (it's a hollow body)
24.
Had enough now. Going to ask for full refund and leave it at tha. They have nothing in that's similar spec, just lower spec. Don't feel like accepting something I could have had 7 months ago so putting an end to this now.
So.... would you be ordering another one from a.) Darren at Bass Merchant and b.) Ernie Ball MM inc. ?
25.
It's flying for me at the moment. Is it slow for anyone else right now?
Put it this way, when I clicked enter, after typing the post above I've had to look at 4 orange dots on the middle top of the page, buffering to display my post for something like 35-45 seconds.
