In answer to the OP my feeling on the subject is that it is a great thing that there are as many Fender as our pocket can afford, I feel we've never had it so good. I welcome all the re-makes of the classic as well as the innovation or some may say re-shuffle of old concepts. My favourite Jazz basses were a Squier 82 JV series and a ESP Series 400 which were both stolen from me in a house move Yes the removal firm truck guys didn't see them being nicked believe it or not, I got a large compensation but never recovered or found two similar basses until recently I bought a 2011 American Standard Jazz and a Precision, which are as good if not better than the two I've lost, both in built quality, weight and I must point out that the pickups in these new basses are superb, hence I am convinced that Fender has realized that quality sells more than quantity. So keep 'em coming is what I say.

I have discovered a way that makes the forum run faster, but it's one that the mods will not be happy with... If you look at the very bottom of the page to the left hand side, there is a command called Change Theme... well if you click it and select IP. Board instead of Basschat you get the very basic skin look for the main forum with no adverts at all which is why the mods won't like it cause they will loose revenue from the google ads which are not displayed, although I know those google ads only count if people actually click on them to view them, otherwise the "pay by click" won't work. Still with all those ads out and the basic skin the forum runs faster.

Whenever I tried a Warwick I was never taken by them, dunno why, from the most expensive to the cheapest none floated my boat. These last 2 examples drive me further away

The fact is I can't really share much as I have come to know the man... and the gear he's flogging, and all I can say he is like the Italian equivalent of... Del Boy Trotter. No one knows where he gets his gear from however the biggest rumour I've heard was that he bought a huge stock or real cheap parts which happen to be all seconds or reject built from another dubious italian firm called Eko. Nuff said.
