1. Painy, how do you actually have space to operate pedals at Bierhaus?
2. Remarkably cheap for a DVVM cab setup, someone should snap this up!
3. Wonderful cabs, works particularly well with an RS210 sat on top of it
4. Arghghgh I really want one of these.
5. I had a B2-RE - excellent amp. Tonnes of headroom! Someone will be happy with this for sure
6. Anyone know for sure if the 4003W S series have the VT control? Seems the differences between the standard 4003W and the S are 1) Dots not triangle inlays on the 4003W S, 2) binding on the 4003W, none on the 4003 W S and 3) mono only on the 4003 W. I cant seem to find anywhere thats got two to compare against each other tho :-/
7. Im kinda GASsing for one of these at the moment. Im feeling it will be the perfect thing for me... a combo of the smooth maple ive got on my Geddy but with the clunk (and I do *love* the VT knob) of my standard 4003/4001 sound. Any one out there with some good news stories on these? Ive seen the price for the "Dot S" variant come down to about £1499 on most sites now, and I quite like the "Dot S" versions ive played in the past... tempting, for the reasons above and the cost.
8. This used to be mine!!! Its a lovely machine. Thumping lows and when you put those pickups together its VERY loud... and I mean VERY loud. The case is a very snug fit but literally no other "new" case that I could find anywhere would fit it! If it helps anyone, it was purchased by me from Vintage & Rare in London some time ago before I sold it to Basscat, so in essence you've also got their seal of approval on this bass too. PS : It wasnt me who tried to put a thumb rest on it, that was there when I got it!
9. 700 notes for this is crazy good... If I was actually playing these days id be all over it!
10. mate of mine had one of these, brilliant amp. But yes, weighs the same as a small house and not easily portable!
11. fairly shocked this hasnt gone... ridiculously good bit of kit, id be all over it if it wasnt essentially "in" the SVT5! Purchase this for your valve-driven needs people
12. Splendid rig at a very attractive price. If i was actually playing these days id take the RC4 off you for my Stac' rig but since it would never leave the house it seems a bit silly to do it! GLWTS tho chap!
13. Oh man... first bass ive really really wanted on here in ages... argh... that is lovely
14. @basscat has an LH500, great amp IMO. Loads of headroom for a remarkably cheap price.
15. The best amp ever, IMO. As heavy as a small house but nothing, NOTHING sounds as good to my ears. I remember watching Dood rocking one of these bad boys back in the day, brilliant sound.
16. I gigged with one of these for quite some time, bought from new (£499 at the time probably 10+ years ago!) - brilliant tone from this. The "Eg" fell off the logo on mine so it just said "Amp" which my guitarist round very amusing. You can get a load of great tones out of this, I do love a proper old radial tone dial in setup. Brilliant amp, someone will be very happy with it.
17. Utter utter bargain, why is this still here???
18. Good golly gosh... never thought id see this happening old chap!
19. If there's an opportunity to get an HLF instead id give that a go. The port at the bottom will help "woof" your sound across the room. The effect a port has on a heavy wood cab is quite stunning. If you can, try the two against each other in a shop - hopefully you'll see what I mean
20. Stag

SOLD

Ive got one of these still! Used it for years as my main gigging bass, the neck on these is really nice - feels tapered just right to fit IMO. Mine is all black tho, this looks nicer
21. Matching headstock, lovely. I dont have room for two Jazzes but if I did, id be having this! really nice, GLWTS
