(The owner wouldn't sell it to me ) They're no good for a 5-string, because they haven't got the "bottom" to cope, but for medium-sized gigs (even without P.A. assistance) they're the business.

Mick from "The Force" bought the 'Jack Daniels' Bass from Chris, (the seller) because he preferred the action and feel more than the M-16. He still only uses it for the odd number now and then-just for a conversation starter. Kev from 'Bessie and the Zinc Buckets' made exactly the same choice. He said the M-16 was fun, but found it very awkward to get it to hang properly.

Funnily enough, one of the ones that stand out for me is the Bass line in "Why Do Fools Fall In Love?" by Diana Ross. I don't particularly like her voice, or her style of singing, but I heard this a few years ago and it blew me away. The Bass seems to be at a counterpoint to the melody, and for some reason, it really, really works.

....and it cost me less than I thought..........

I think I'd tend to ask a lot of questions. It seems to have unresolved "Issues" that he doesn't explain satisfactorily enough for me. You can't have it on top of your Cab/ The fan makes a noise/he THINKS it MIGHT need a re-valve, etc., etc. O.K. if it goes cheaply enough, but how many teeth does a gift horse have?
