  1. That's a great price, these have a wonderful feel on the neck.
  2. I've been thinking about getting that exact bass after Christmas ( it looks beautiful), but not a hell of a lot of reviews around. Be great to know your thoughts? I know its a lot of bang for your buck. Cheers
  3. What's your price on the T40?
  4. No not £829......but I've played amps costing more that sound no where near as good.i wouldn't begrudge paying that new though. I'm sure there are awesome class D's out there lesser priced that might boast better specs?I'm new to all this lightweight scene, only played a RH450 and ampeg pf500 before.but having played valves most of my bass life I can tell you it certainly feels like a big glass+ iron head
  5. Tbh I only gave it it's first blast at practice yesterday ( where my cab lives) so not a truly in depth mess around with it as I'd of liked.the Vt has always been my safety net sound with my band after playing Ampeg for so long, I'm sure with a bit more playing I could probably loose it?....it just felt like a wonderful tube amp to me ,:-).
  6. It was a shot in the dark with this head as there is not many reviews or demos around....for my kind of style anyways ( drop C pick playing) This Michel leauge demo is a smooth example of the 500.
  7. I've recently received this markbass tte800 in a trade.. In the past it's mainly been tube amps for me, I've had a couple of SVT cl's Orange Ad200 and of late a fender superbassman. After getting my last amp(GK 1001) trying to downsize weight,I sorely missed that tube tone "heft"....so i was convinced I had to have a big valve job again. I was offered the markbass so I thought I'd give it ago since I've never had a lightweight class D head ( late to the party).....and Crikey it's bloody wonderful 🙂 It really does sound and feel like a tube amp...heft,touch,punch...the works! and God it can get stupid loud if wanted. It reminds me of the Orange tube head in tone with a little less gain on tap but with more punch. After Adding a little blended tech21 Vt to the mix .... this is feeling like it might be my perfect amp. I don't know why there isn't more love for these? I get the minimal eq on it might be a put off, but I can get a fair few different tones out of it.....i imagine with a active bass the simplicity would be a plus? It's a winner 🙂
  8. Slam some dimarzio model p's in there and you have a perfect workhorse P
  9. I read somewhere that they are about 800(real) watts? Where are they £250? Quite interesting tbh
  10. 32 quid posted!! If it don't go this week I'll just keep it my draw
  11. TJ spiders Ash down is super value! Awesome amp ....300w not 2
  12. Need to go, £37 posted for a phenominal low/med overdrive
  13. I've always been a bit nervous trading by post....swapped my GK head with Rich's Tte800. Absolutely zero problems 🙂 Excellent com's, fast posting ..tip top basschat member. Deal with confidence. Would happily buy or trade with him again
  14. Not at all "wrong" mate 🙂 I've been through many many overdrives ( expensive and cheap)and the bad monkey into a tube amp or VT bass, p bass with a pick is my no1 overdrive :-)(got 2 spares)....... unmodified ,low and high eq just from maxed and gain a quarter, using the amp sim output(mixer) really is a perfect light growley drive for me.
  15. Would prefer a trade .......but also happy to sell for £550 , cost me £860 in all, so with age and condition I think priced fair.
  16. Lush! I love that bass tone on the first Weezer album
  17. A less than 1 year old (like new condition)Gallien Krueger 1001rb head bought new from andertons in March, in a premium French (black case brand)shallow 2u .Never gigged All the clean power and punch you could ever want, gets that nice Growley Duff sound when pushed. All info here http://www.gallien-krueger.com/1001-rb-specs/ As much as I love it I'm needing a different flavour for what I'm doing atm and don't want to have to stick a preamp in it. If anyone fancies a trade up? Ideally I'm looking for something ampegy, svt 4,5 .... or something with tubes ? Hit me up with anything similar in terms of "mid clank" sag type sound big or small but needs to kick out volume similar to this head ( stoner type band) Based in South Devon but happy to travel/meet etc Any questions please ask 🙂
  18. A awesome bjfe blueberry (not mad proffesor)overdrive clone built by Paul_5 of this parish. Fantastic sounding pedal as you might gather , one of the best low/med overdrive I used.there is a couple of screws missing from the bottom of plate, but it's super fixed on ( ain't going nowhere) sadley I'm needing fuzz again for a new project..... if anyone fancies a trade on a Freddrics green Russian, EHX Green Russian or similar?
  19. The valeton pedals are cracking little things.i also have the oc10 and their tremolo. I fancy trying their green fuzz.... big muff clone with active high and low knobs
  20. I had one of these when they came out, loved the crayon side but the hot tube side never got much use tbh. Stonking pedal for the price

    Darkglass X7

It would be nice to see more Darkglass demos using different genre's and more traditional type basses.... All I mainly hear is dingwals and metallic sounding metal tunes. I'm sure all his pedals could sound good in other formats. I liked the b3k on lower settings and would be interested to hear what more med type drive this could do
  22. Sure are.....that roasted neck though,yum 🙂
  23. Especially this one with a Freddrics green muff
