  1. No... Kinda wish I did. Great idea. The neck is screwed in normal like most basses, it's nice n tight😉
  2. Thanks for the offer, but not really wanting class D.
  3. My Matt freeman P has the greatest neck(for me) I've come across... Chunky bat type with 9.5 radius.... Feels bang on for my big hands
  4. I've recently put together this absolute gorgeous P bass.... Neck is 2 weeks old (cost £300), fender Roasted maple. Lovely and straight, clean frets no sharp edges.. Modern C that plays like a dream. Fret board has gloss finish but rear is satin.new black Wilkinson vintage tuners.and black graphtech nut. The neck holes didn't line up perfectly with the body holes, so I filled and re drilled new heel holes.doesnt effect anything about the bass at all..... Just being transparent. Decent northwest G alder p body ( couple of light scratches). New gotoh 201 Bridge, kiorgan wiring harness. Tonerider trp 1 pups (my absolute fave pickups). Fender neck plate. Comes with matt black pick guard and bwb. Fairly new roto's rounds on it This plays and punches like the best of them. Not Heavy, around 9lbs at a guess? Pictures don't sell this bass, it's the best looking bass I've had f sure. But having 2 P's seems silly tbh (my other P will never sell). So if anyone fancies a trade up? Ideally a jazz type bass, ibanez ATK 810/800 anything really that's 4 string non fret less or short scale...... Preferably black/natural and maple neck. Also consider 2u amp.. Gk rb700 etc. Prefer meet up, but postings not outta the question. Better pics later.
  5. That bass looks fantastic black on brown
  6. Biggest size is 0.65....shame as nice n cheap
  7. Does that work ok? Never tried.... Is it a bit tricky angling the slots down towards the head?
  8. No. I'm wanting to buy a new fender Roasted maple neck, but the nut that's fitted comes with guide slits only and needs filing (very odd for a replacement neck I think). My gauge strings are 110-50
  9. Anyone know where I can buy a set of cheap decent nut files? Any bass specific ones on the bay are around 80 pound mark...... I'll only use them a couple of times
  10. Just had a message saying ours are taking bookings on the first, get in 😊
  11. Just the fuzz side, imo the od really doesn't need any clean
  12. It feels like it's been yonks since my band has rehearsed because of all the chaos. Anyone had their usual rehearsal, practice space, studio reopen yet? Really destroying the soul not having that loud satisfying buzz of live band jamming
  13. Recently purchased this amazing custom cog from basschats Kev, I love Tom's pedals and this does not disappoint....... Its phenomenal 🙂. So much control over the tarkins mids and beef!and the Knight fall side is a clear tube type sound.led lights are blue white As much as I love fuzz, the project I have in mind (after all this virus shnizz has gone) is going to be needing more of a distortion sound than fuzz I'm thinking and the pedal if far to good to wait on my pedal shelf. If anyone fancies a trade? with ideally a Darkglass alpha omega, or similar.? ... with price adjustments from me. Here's a link to Kev's add
  14. £250 for all 3 is bargalishious. Cog pedals are the nuts
  15. Just received Kev's cog inertia pedal. Cracking basschater to deal with, zero problems... Top bloke 🙂
  16. I was going to buy that one... Suprisingly been there a little while now. I asked and its supplied with rack ears
  17. Keep coming back (again and again) to the VT bass. The heavy drive sounds are not to my tastes.... But their is a perfect clean/slight grit sweet spot that makes almost any amp sound perfect imo
  18. Dang!..... And what a wife 😮,
  19. Nice!. Really looks the part imo I was going to buy a 7400 that was on ebay last night..... Literally nipped upstairs came back down and it sold 🤦‍♂️ They seem to be quite rare now, I really want to try one, gas itch. If you ever decide to sell ahem 😉
  20. It seems the best deals that pop up on basschat always seem to be up north 😞 Always miles away, great price
  21. Hi Ed, thanks for the reply 🙂 I've had loads of tube amps in the past (ampeg, orange, fender etc) and everytime I sell one and say to myself the weight is to much...... The allure of glowing glass drags me back 😄. I've seen a b stock peavey vb2 at a corking price, never tried/heard 1 before but looked good on paper. Sounds like the volume might be good then, the ad200 volume was good...... But god I hated the eq of it.
  22. When you say noisey when cranked how'd you mean, when turning knobs? Looks quite a interesting head 🙂
  23. I know it's a long shot, but has anyone played both here? I've read all I can on the 2 and undivided which one to buy?? I play drop C pick playing using a P bass into a ampeg 6x10.playing heavy styles of music I've had lots of big weighty amps over the years(lots of valve, hybrid and solid states) but now I'm after a lightweight, not mega expensive neutral kind of amp (as why I'm looking at these 2). Most of my tone will come from my vtdi mixed with the amps pre. Do either of these give the feel and thump (without starting a ab vs class D war) of a old school big tranny head? Cheers
