4. still not selling?
5. won't £600 get you a used ray?
6. Stoker, I had a black one in before and I love them. Best P pickup imo. Hot as hell and clear as a bell. Del, that is a class reply haha
7. £50 posted.

9. ovepedal AMP50 in 9/10 condition, can't place the box at the moment but it's likely to be about somewhere. Great OD pedal and was my mainstay for the last year but I just rarely pull out the pedalboard at the moment so it's going! They're £100 new, I'll do it for £75posted and paypal'd.
10. i've literally just bought it.
11. T Rex Replica in 9+/10 condition includes box/manual/powersupply. £170 shipped to Europe. XTS Pegasus Boost in 9+/10 condition, unfinished style box, green LED with box and I'll throw in a Duracell Pro battery if it's wanted. New price in Europe is (http://www.loopersparadise.de/en/prod.php?p=435)€ 185.00, I'll sell for £120 shipped to anywhere in Europe. I'll ship outside Europe there'll just be an extra £8 postage.
12. bump for new price i'm tempted now haha
13. the 2 8x10 thing is for bith show and practical reasons. if one amp goes there is still another. if a small band like Funeral For a Friend run 2 8x10's which i know they did with Gareth then i'm sure bigger bands will. having more small amp's is beter than one big one.
14. Tinman, i know of someone who uses a DSL for his bass for uber OD. pow_22 i don't think there's much difference between the two. just like the 1959 model Super Lead and Super Bass amps.
15. next time i'm recording i'll try and remember to get some bass only mixes for an example of my Marshall. i like old Marshalls. easy to mod and easy to fix.
16.
Indeed give me a Marshall valve amp and I'll give you several pieces of a Marshall valve amp.
the best marshall bass amps are the guitar amps
17. hahahaha ^wayne
18.
So do you think that a Superfly sounds better when the aluminium casing is on than when it's off?
i've just seen this. i've owned two ABM's. i'm not into them. i wish i was because i believe in supporting British brands as much as i can.
19. i gigged with a little mark years ago. really not my thing. i've owned more SS amps than valve but this one takes the biscuit. it's nails the tone i want better than my old Sunn 300T.
20. if i was looking for a light weight amp i'd try a Genz but i'm happy to use my Marshall (which i also use for my guitar). when i'm 40 and in a wedding band i'll look into them
21. genius!
22.
Is it Valve Vs Solid State as opposed to Light Vs Heavy, or have you tried some lightweight valve amps & didn't like them?
i'm only aware of one which is the MarkBass Classic 300. chrismuzz. what i want is punch and bark. i've never gotten that from a SS or hybrid head.
23.
Is it light weight amps or hi fi amps you don't like though?
light weight. if needed for tone reasons i will use and have had a hifi amp. the if it sounded exactly the same and was lighter comment should go without saying because it is not a tone issue.
24.
Are you trying to tell me a lightweight valve amp wont sound as good as a 3 tonne valve amp? & if a lightweight valve or solid state amp sounds just as good as it's heavy contemporary, then being light gives it that +1 better.
no i'm saying it will sound different. good and worse is up to you. i personally do not like the sound of light weight amps.
25. isn't the V4 200 watts and the V6 and V8 400 watts? also these were around at different periods. the V8 was Gibson i think. i appreciate the 3 BTA's will sound slightly different but ampeg have done well with just a 300 watt and 100 watts for 40 years. a good business model until recently. keep things simple. don't be a jack of all trades and master of none. when people hear a bass on a 'rock' record it's more than likely going to be ampeg. they have their sound and ashdown do to a degree but they should keep it focused.
