  1. I've got one of the later El Whappo Junior cabs (without the silly 4/8 ohm switch, which I believe Accugroove stopped fitting after a very long thread on Talkbass saying it wasnt possible to do this), and it really is a super cab. I also have a Barefaced Super 12, and, to my ears at least, the tone and volume levels are quite similar. The El Whappo Junior model has two 12" speakers (the standard El Whappo I believe has the 15" sub so is a different kettle of fish), the bottom of which is defined as a sub woofer by the builders, so I suppose it is tuned in some way to go lower? Anyway, its a great cab, very light and loud, and I cant fault it. Each to their own of course.
  2. Another fantastic deal with Terry who bought my Stageclix system. Always a pleasure! Cheeers, Bob
  3. Superb transaction with Ted. Great communications, let me know straight away when the courier arrived (always a worry nowadays) and no problems whatsoever. Deal with Ted in absolute confidence!
  4. Lovely! But then I suppose I would say that.............
  5. Hi Andy. I'm afraid someone just beat you to it, and its now sold. Thanks anyway. Cheers, Bob
  6. I tried to price it as low as I could based on what they have sold for in the past, but I guess another £5 would be all it would cost to post.
  7. We bought these so we could use our main speakers facing the audience and have a second, slightly smaller set of speakers facing towards the band to use as monitors. They could just as easily be used to mount 2 speakers on a single speaker pole facing the same way, being fully adjustable and superb K&M quality.Only used a couple of times, as our 2 singers moaned about having a generic mix across the stage (I thought it was superb!) and wanted to hear 99.99% themselves in their mixes.
  8. We bought this to us lend out to best men, etc at weddings for their speeches, so our main Shure system wouldnt get abused, but it actually turned out to be a really nice radio mike in its own right. Excellent quality Sennheiser capsule, in good condition with just one little stick on rubber foot missing as far as I can see.
  9. Bought on a whim, but hardly touched. Boxed with all accessories, and a nice little tripod as well.
  10. What can I say? Does exactly what it says on the tin. As new.
  11. Next on my list of retirement sales. As new, Mk 2 model with cable simulation. Gigged a few times, and it really is a wonderful, trouble free piece of kit. No need for batteries, and the sound qulaity is exactly as produced by your rig, no colouration I can spot. Comes in carry case with a few tiny scratches, otherwise as new. NOW SOLD
  12. Aphex BassXciter. As new, this is the previous, better model. Adds sparkle and whumph! Never used by me in anger, its the next item on my (long) list of retirement sales. NOW SOLD
  13. As new, pretty much unused Tonehammer di and eq pedal. I am retiring from gigging, and am selling most of my equipment. I dint ever gig with this! NOW SOLD THANKS
  14. Joint first place, both Gretsches I'm afraid. A Broadkaster that was as dead as a dead thing that has had all the life sucked out of it, and a superb looking Thunderjet that I couldn't get any tone out of other than a dull thud. Massive disappointment, as I so wanted to fall in love with it.
  15. "Nobody can sell anything . I have quite a few hundred quids of gig money currently burning a hole. Quite a few of the basses I am very attracted to are collection only." I'll deliver/have delivered the 60th Anniversary P Bass!!!!! Cheers, Bob
  16. We use FBT Promaxx 12s, and cant find enough good things to say about them. They are very light, sound out of this world, are reliable, bi-amped with enormous power and simple to set up. We also have a pair of Mackie 18" subs, but the FBTs work superbly without them.
  17. Genz Streamliner 900 and Barefaced Super 12. Backup of TC Classic 450 and Accugroove El Whappo Junior cab. No gas at all.
