1. Super transaction with Grae who bought my Jaguar bass today. Great communications, absolutely no quibble (and I really mean no quibble) on price, and was so happy that I hand delivered the bass that he slipped me something to buy my lunch with as well as diesel money! I cant remember a deal with less hassle, and can recommend Grae without hesitation. Hope you enjoy the Jag! Cheers, Bob
2. Price reduced to £1050. I can't edit the original price in the ad though.
3. No problem. With my trusty ruler, its 4cm, or 1 1/2 inches in old money.
4. Couple more photos as requested. Sorry they are nearly the same!
5. Very kind of you to say Mark. And yes, it's certainly very tidy!
6. I should have stressed no trades thanks. I am selling up most of my stuff to fun an alternative lifestyle late in life! Cheers, Bob
7. Thanks Gary. Its not too bad as long as you wear lots of layers! It really is a nice bass this for no money. I just dont need a collection of basses any more (did I ever?). Cheers, Bob
8. Heres the next one. Absolutely mint Yamaha BEX 4 semi solid bass, with piezo pickup and soapbar pickup with seperate controls (can be used mixed). Pretty much unused, gloss amber finish with very comfortable neck. Comes with the correct Yamaha fitted hardcase, again absolutely as new. This is a really cool, and it would seem quite rare bass judging by the low numbers I see for sale. Again, its not that I want to sell, just that I have retired from music and have no use for my fingers and ears any more. NOW SOLD, thanks.
9. Next one up for sale. 2008, I believe, Fender Jaguar bass, made in Japan with Warwick hard/soft case. This is a really nice (and cool!) bass with a slim maple/rosewood with blocks neck and very comprehensive controls, both active and passive. Its in good condition, although there are a few small playing marks and a little bit of chipped gloss finish on the back of the headstock. Because of this, I have priced it low. Straplocks are fitted as well. Looks like this now SOLD subject to the usual.
10. Next one up in my retirement sell off. Really sad to see this bass go as its pretty much everything I've ever wanted a bass to be and sound like, but I dont have a use for it in the future. Its never been gigged and is pretty much perfect, maybe if you look really carefully you might find one or two tiny marks on the back to show its not minty fresh. Just being 100% honest, I would really describe it as "as new". Its in black onyx finish with grain enhancement, and only weighs just over 8lbs. The body is swamp ash and the 34" scale neck maple, and an 18volt Bartolini pre amp (3 band with mid shift) is fitted along with Bartolini CB Classic soapbars. The tone is really rich and "fruity", and the output is adjustable from an internal pot. Dunlop straplocks are fitted, and it comes with a super deluxe Roscoe gig bag. I have no problems with shipping, but as this is in a gig bag, I would very much prefer a meet up if possible. Always welcome to pop in and try it out as well. Price reduced to absolute rock bottom £995 (no offers or trades please) to sell as quickly as possible. I have so much stuff to sell now I am retiring! Now SOLD subject to the usual.
11. Just sold one of my basses to Tom, and as always, it was a pleasure from beginning to end (which wasnt a long time, believe me). You know, with the money immediately paid to me by Tom, I might buy some fishing tackle....
12. Just think how good I'm going to be though when I've had all that practice.........
13. Here we go. This is the first in my sell off of basses and equipment following my decision to retire from gigging to do some travelling and serious fishing instead. Its a mint 2010 USA Fender 60th Anniversary Precision, in its SKB case with the case candy. I have strung it with Fender flats and its just lovely, with a vintage type vibe and tone but everything else is modern. The neck is no baseball bat, and its light as well. I have fitted retro Fender strap locks, and rather than mess about negotiating, I'm going to advertize my stuff at the lowest prices I would accept in the hope that I get quick sales and someone else gets a very reasonable price. £795 is the bottom line, and whilst I have no problems posting, my last parcel was lost by Hermes the other week and I'm pretty nervous about couriers in general now. Now SOLD subject to the usual.

15. Whatever you do, and no matter how reasonable you think their costs are, don't ever be tempted to use Hermes. They couldn't give two hoots about your stuff, and if you don't pay extra for insurance think that gives them the right to lose your parcel or do whatever they want with it, safe in the knowledge they can hide behind their T & Cs. I hate them, having had several problems recently culminating in a parcel that nearly made it to the delivery address then disappeared.

Rumple

Sold a Zoom recorder to Dave, sent it by Hermes who then lost it. Dave couldnt have been more understanding during the process, and I wouldnt hesitate to deal with him again. Sorry Dave, but thanks for your gentlemanly patience.... Lesson learned, I wont touch Hermes with a bargepole in future.
17. Just an idea. If we all have cds we dont listen to any more (I have hundreds!), why not swap them on this forum? We could list the ones we want to swap, then on the basis of one in, one out, swap however many with members who have interesting ones to trade on their swap list. First come first served of course, with each member paying his postage charges (which theoretically should be the same). Has this idea got any legs?
18. Super duper deal with Chris, who was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended!
