1. Absolutely mint acoustic guitar, bought by me on a whim at the Cheltenham Acoustic Guitar Show a few years ago and has sat in its case under a bed ever since. Still has the original strings on which are useably fresh! Made by the Lowden craftsmen in Northern Ireland using the best materials, its a real beauty. Has a really thin solid sitka spruce top with rosewood back and sides, and the standard of workmanship takes your breath away. The tone however is the best bit. I have owned a few Lowden guitars over the years and loved them all, and this is no different, although George had left the company when it was made (hence the Avalon name). Its identical in every way I can see to a Lowden L32. Has a Hiscox Liteflight Pro 2 case.Don't really want to post this if possible. Cant seem to attach many photos. PM me for more. 2. Twin head (red and green) stage laser. Makes lots of pretty shapes, and is particularly effective working in a smoke machine gog, where the shapes become holographic! Programmable, but I don't know a lot more about it as we used it for a while then bought a great big super duper piece of kit and retired this one. Its not been used for a couple of years, and I don't play any more so have no use for it. Comes with a very nice Soundlab "fitted" flightcase.
3. Brilliant little head, bought as a back up so its been with me on gigs but never needed so stayed in the little neoprene laptop case I bought that fits it perfectly. 200 watts and a super tone. I don't play any more so its got to go. Guessing at a tenner for postage. Now sold
4. PRS SE One single pickup electric guitar. Brilliant PRS take on an LP Junior, really good quality and tone for a silly price. Very light and in excellent condition with a super gig bag. Hardly used, still has the original strings so will need a new set, been sat under a bed since I bought it. . Its a lovely translucent red colour. Now SOLD subject to the usual.
5. Really nice little parlour sized guitar and semi soft case. Ideal to have to hand in the living room for a quick strum. As far as I know, it has a solid spruce top and laminated back and sides, and is really nice to play. I have had it a few years and there are one or two tiny marks on the body but absolutely nothing to worry about and overall its in excellent condition. Has been sat under a bed for the last couple of years, and I don't play any more. For some reason I cant upload any pictures of it. Just imagine a normal acoustic guitar, but a bit smaller (NOT kiddy sized or a travel guitar though).
6. Don't know what happened there. Duplicate post, ignore please.
7. BEHRINGER EUROLIVE 205D powered personal stage monitor. Brilliant piece of kit. Gigged with it quite a few times until the band went in ear, but I actually preferred this. Really tiny, loud (150 watts), crystal clear and fits on a mike stand using the supplied adapter so you can have it at ear level if you are a bit mutt and jeff like me. Retired from playing now so don't need it any more. Has a 3 channel mixer built in, can be daisy chained and there is no need for a di box if you want to plug your acoustic guitar straight in. Guess postage would be about a tenner.
8. 23" x 15" AURALEX GRAMMA pad. Really useful on boomy stages. I have retired from playing now so no longer need it. In excellent, although used condition. I guess postage will be in the region of a tenner. NOW SOLD Cheers, Bob
9. I had a Birdsong a few years back and it was a superb little bass, just so easy to play and a great range of tones. From memory, I think the bridge pickup was an EMG? These are real pro basses. Good luck with the sale. If I hadn't retired from playing I would have been very interested!
10. Like the old joke says, "what have you got? Answer: Hermes. Dont you mean Herpes? No, I'm only a carrier.........." Ironic really as Hermes are quite the worst carriers I have ever come across (apart from Yodel maybe). I think even Interparcel (who are effectively brokers in the middle) are embarrassed by them if my experience is anything to go by.
11. Played my last ever gig with the band I've been with for 13 years yesterday at the local Golf Club's Christmas party, before I retire to go travelling with the good lady. Brilliant! The guys made it into just the best night ever, changing the words of half of the songs in the second set (when the audience were well oiled) into anything that remotely sounded like or rhymed with "Bob" or "Sue" or "Bob and Sue"! (Sue is our lighting lady as well as having suffered wedded bliss with me for the last 37 years, so will probably be missed as much if not more than me by the band). Our front man must have told the audience half a dozen times that I was leaving that night, and in turn I was showered with hugs, kisses and adulation (!) from them. I dug my lucky bass players pork pie hat out of retirement, played the Pedulla Sue gave me 12 years ago on our silver wedding and don't think I made a mistake all night, and we all went back to one of the guy's houses for cheese, biscuits and whiskey afterwards. They gave me a big photo blown up onto that canvassy stuff to remember Breeze by, and its now in pride of place in the hallway, just in case any visitors don't believe I was once a 59 year old budding rock star...... Life just doesn't get any better than this, but as one door closes a new door has now opened to our latest phase of life as travellers, something we have wanted to do for ages, and now we are both retired and waiting delivery of our motor home has become a reality. Have to go now as I'm starting to well up writing this. Cheers to everyone here and have a great Christmas.
12. Just sold my Roscoe to Miro, who is based in Krakow, Poland. The deal couldn't have been easier, and Miro is a real gentleman to deal with. Don't let the distance to Poland put you off any dealings with this new BassChatter!
13. Can't believe this hasn't gone yet. I suppose money is tighter at Christmas.
14. I have known Matt for a few years now and he has bought several high end basses from me, each transaction being an absolute delight. I saw this bass the other day and can vouch for the fact its immaculate, plays like a dream and has the Wal tone in spades. Unbelievable that someone in the past wanted to paint it black when it has such an exquisite figured top. No accounting for taste I suppose, but it looks so much better now. Matt is a gentleman, and anyone wanting this bass will not be in the slightest disappointed.
15.
I don't get what it is you don't get?
It's just a noise to me, sorry. Each to their own I guess.
16.
Bob, I keep thinking (what are you sinking about?) and I had a second thought: You can buy a case (universal is not too expensive - see: http://www.amazon.co...t/dp/B00518GJSI or something in this range may be 2nd hand from your local shop) and I will compensate extra costs ? What do you say ? Miro
Hi Miro. I have a good quality second hand Hiscox case that fits. I could send it in this case for an extra £50 (and include the gig bag in the parcel of course), plus the shipping and insurance cost to Poland if this was of any interest? Looking at Interparcel, it would seem that to send the Parcel to Poland would cost about £36, with insurance on top. I'm not sure how much the insurance cost would be, but I think about £25, so the total cost would be £1106. If you are interested, with payment by international bank transfer then I'm sure we could do something. Let me know, Cheers, Bob
17. Pete just bought my Yamaha BEX, paid immediately, great communications, didn't laugh too much at my home made box.....What could be better?
18. Hi Miro. My family are in Tychy, Orszese near Katowice, and I have been to Krakow (Cracow? How is it spelt?). ! Nice to know I dont have to worry about National Serice any more as well, as I dont really speak Polish. My dad always wanted me to learn, but Polish School in Manchester was on a Saturday and no way was I going to school on a Saturday when I was 11........ Its the lack of a hardcase that is the problem. For a cheaper bass, I wouldnt mind the gamble of sending it in a gig bag and lots of packing, but the couriers regulations now say no hardcase, no shipment, sorry. Cheers, Bob
19.
Hello Bob is shipping to Poland insane ?
It shouldn't be, but the Roscoe only has a gig bag, albeit it a superb gig bag, so I can't ship it abroad sorry. There has been a lot of interest from Europe, but I have to tell everyone the same thing. Then again, I am Polish on my fathers side, and it's about time I visited Poland to meet my cousins again......I stopped visiting Poland when I was told I would have to join the Army to do my National Service many years ago. Do they still have conscription?
20.
I'm just impressed that someone on this site has got an orangerie and a library.
And a "Large Hall"!!!! Does the house have a selection of halls in differing sizes?
21. One last attempt to sell then its coming off the market. Cant go any lower, sorry.
22. Price reduced to a rock-bottom £995 (no offers or trades please) so I hope it will sell quickly at this price. I am selling off most of my gear so am trying to keep things moving..........
