2. Asking price differential possibly to great - Love a straight swap for the Tele - but that aint gonna happen!!!!
 3. I should add that the pups are balanced / switched with the knobs. Not a separate switch like the guitars. Though there are some more recent LP s that have the switch!
 4. Any history, pics etc that you may share, please? Great monicker btw... P
Nice bass . Has it got the switch for the 2 pickups ? Or is that just the guitar version? Trade for Tele bass cash my way ?
6. Very interested to try the new Elixirs - I have several basses with differing needs and it would be interesting to give them a real run. At present I have:

US P Bass deluxe with Elixir nanowebs - been on the bass for around 9 months now - with a wipe of wd40, the freshness is restored
Mex 60s Fender Jazz bass with stainless d'addarios - EMG pups give greater attack - maybe too much for round wounds - Elixirs would help here..
G&L Tribute 5 string with stainless D'addarios - vast range of tones switching from passive to active
Rickenbacker 4003 with Fender flat wounds - needed to have these strings at the time, as I broke my left middle finger so it was softer to play, with a very low action
Rickenbacker 4004 with Elixir Nanos - awesome combination
'94 Gibson Les Paul Bass with Elixir Nanos - surprisingly clear light sound emanating from a beast of an instrument!
So plenty of diverse scenarios from which to test and evaluate.. To answer the questions:

Have you tried Elixir strings before? - YES
What other brands are you familiar with? Fender, D'Addario, Rotosound, Ernie Balls, Picato
What bass(es) will you try the new strings on? Gibson Les Paul bass, Ric 4003, Ric 4004, US P Bass deluxe, Mex Jazz 6os, G&L Tribute 5 string
What sort of environment will you be playing them in (e.g studio, gigging, practising) - Gigging twice a week - intimate pub gigs, larger club outdoor festivals, parties, weddings and theatre as part of a tribute / cancer awareness show in Bury St Edmunds
Why do you think you'll be a good candidate to test the strings? Heavy (as in a lot of) user using both pluck and Pick on many different basses in many different situations, covering a wide variety of styles
Links to any blogs/reviews you may have already posted (not essential but interesting) - frequent poster to Ric forum on Facebook plus Band web pages and FB groups ( www.electrumband.co.uk )
7. Korean G & L part trade? I have a lovely L2500 sunburst as a possibility, as it is woefully underused... Or are you thinking USA only?
 8. FYI, my Walnutburst is in active service in our band and the tone, sound and looks have garnered some really positive feedback! really powerful though and blasts through the PA, so need to be delicate when swapping basses mid set. Only alterations made were the installation of a chrome pick holder and a D - Extender.. have retained the pup cover It's a magnificent bass and a future classic, I reckon!?
 9. Roland Bass Cube Buzzzzzzzz For practice, I have a Roland Cube Bass 100 and all of a sudden it has developed a major buzzing when I plug in. There is no strip lighting or any dimmer switch nearby- following several processes of elimination, I have managed to conclude that it is def not the lead or bass guitar and it is a constant presence. It was sitting unused for a short while and had not been dropped or anything. Could there be a loose connection in the jack input or even a dry joint? Anyone else had this problem and how did u manage to resolve it?
