  1. Want one of these - but a 4. I could play a 5…hmm. oh. Bluddy skint. Typical
  2. Yes. It’s based in copper. whut.
  3. £4.59 and a copy of Ladybird’s rumplestiltskin…
  4. Like a walnut colour. Seem to recall my Gold top was opaque brown…
  5. would be very interested to sit with this and the Epi.
  6. Just a piece of paper will do? Im happy to shove a mug shot of me with the item… coincidentally…this item is for sale…
  7. I generally listen to lyrics and drum cues - our new drummer is much better at indicating changes. I write about half the bands songs so I have a fair idea. One tune though, our current set opener - I wrote with 8 bars of the main riff for the verse. It was deemed that lyrically - it worked better with 6 bars - we’ve been playing it for months and my internal “counting in 4’s” brain means I almost always fluff it. Then I realised our guitarist changes pedals between verse and chorus - so if I’m doubting myself - I look out for the chequered vans about to stamp on a pedal 🤣 but I practice at home through all 12 tunes we have (originals) and then make sure I keep an eye on stuff at rehearsals. Singer has a habit of working on lyrics until we record the tune - so it’s best not to rely on him. Guitarist is a proper stickler though - so I trust him 🤣
  8. Yeah - I should’ve got one of those when I had the chance. I will say - there’s little to nothing between the Korean and Chinese ones.
  9. Ah the swings and roundabouts in my head…honestly… In July 2021, Epiphone announced Pelham Blue Jack Casady basses. I missed my old Jack Casady terribly, I sold it when I was broke following the birth of Oldest Daughter. It was a gold Peerless made one I bought when I worked in a guitar shop - I played that thing until my hands couldn’t play anymore, festivals, gigs, somewhere in my memory also says a TV show…anyhow. Here’s me playing the gold one - think this was in The Raymond Review/Soho Review bar… So I got a blue one - and it was lovely, just as i remembered them to be. I got a Babicz bridge on it and changed the knobs to Gibson Amber top Hats - just looked better than the light gold speed knobs it came with. At that time I was in a funk/rock band and played lots of slappy tight stuff - the Casady just sat watching on, and eventually I sold it. As things have a habit of doing - everything changed, I planned to knock it all on the head And stop playing all together. Then a chance exchange of messages turned into a band and it’s going really well - I have myself a lovely Gibson Ripper, and I’d love a second one - but they are inordinately expensive… Ive tried all sorts as a backup - the best being a Shergold Marathon - now with our very own @Maude Anyhow fate stepped in - and my blue Casady reappeared! The Ibanez case, amber knobs and Babicz all telling. I messaged @Grooverjr Turns out @MM Stingray 62 had replaced the machineheads with Grover’s (as now used by Gibson) which is definitely a worthwhile upgrade - smoother and more reassuring. So, it’s home… Couldn’t be more chuffed. Does everything I need - rehearsal tomorrow and gigs 30th/31st… And, it’s blue…
  10. These are so cool - I’m in no position to buy, but it’s definitely a beauty
  11. Bump. I now have a wonderful box courtesy of a recent purchase. Gigbag, soundhole bung and a decent clip on tuner will be included.
  12. This recent post by an online dealer is not helpful
  13. Are they Yamaha post it notes?
  14. Now then… Hiding to nothing…here I go. in 2007/8 I bought an Epiphone Jack Casady (Peerless/Korean) in Gold. When Ella (now 15) was born - I hit hard times and ended up selling 12/13 basses. The Casady went to @Etienne who then sold it to @Geddys nose My trail goes cold there. Think that was 10/11 years ago. Now - a long shot as I have no serial number, so I may as well just get a gold one from the mid 2000’s. Does anyone remember buying it off Simon? worth a shot. 🥴🤦🏻‍♂️
  15. I’ll probably have to wait for the fretless to be honest - got a bit to pay out on house/studio and car in next few months. now the blue one is home…I’m ok for jack Casady basses for now
  16. Bought my old Epi Jack Casady from @Grooverjr(Jack) Was honestly brilliant from start to finish - I was awaiting payment from 2 sales to enable me to get funds: he placed the bass on hold and we sorted it all pretty quickly. Then we discussed shipping - honestly, I’ve never seen a bass packed so well. it was delivered headstock down as I discovered when I got the box open. testament to the wrapping - bass is in the same condition as the day it was brand new. Magic - deal in confidence Thanks Jack x
  17. Hehehehehehehe. Ooooh Suits you Sir
  18. Well…this just got more interesting…genuinely think this bass would sound phenomenal as a fretless. not this one but the Jack Casady generally.
  19. Oh god…I’ll never have enough post it notes 😂😂😂
  20. Unsurprisingly…I bought it for a bass I’d just bought, and sold it before the tool arrived.
  21. There’s a handy tool stew Mac make - it’s about £12/£15
  22. They make a difference, wether or not it’s an improvement is a matter of preference/opinion. i think they look better than standard BBOT and fill a bit more space visually… They're just a bit of an iconic thing now aren’t they - synonymous with “pros” who know how to improve things. Now back in mass production via All Parts - should have brought prices down…but seems to have at least levelled them out.
  23. We used to have a photographer like that. Then really standoffish when I saw her about a year after that band had folded. So odd. She wouldn’t know me now, 2 stone and a ginger beard…like Clarke Kent/Superman 🤣
