  1. Always wanted one of these since seeing a review in Bassist magazine years ago. I had a corvette standard ash at the time and it seemed so much “posher”. Looks lovely.
  2. £85 plus postage… otherwise I’ll just hang on to it 😊
  3. Reasonable offers entertained on this. now off work over summer so postage and collecting a bit more flexible
  4. John bought a bass from me (Yamaha BEX) - all arrangements a joy, even when my “early finish” on Wednesday turned into unpaid overtime and delayed shipping. Enjoy the bass.
  5. Bump for this - I’m now off work for the summer, so postage can be done on the day…but I’m also home for collection more regularly.
  6. Teenage Dirtbag threw me though - is it a soul/funk rework?
  7. Soul/Funk (seems to be the set list staple?) - We did 2 similar bands “Covert” ”Reissue” on the same train of thought Re:Soul Souled Out Souler Powered Something like that?
  8. Sort of own one - but it’s more of a bucket list bass. my Ripper. I really still want a Wal Mk1. just - £7k-£11k isn’t going to happen.
  9. This is the one I’m thinking of
  10. he had a vintage 5 in the same finish - I loved it
  11. Think the vast majority were just Sadowsky… he did have them waterproofed though.
  12. I’d adore this… Got to sell something probably to make up the shortfall of about £200 or so 🤦🏻‍♂️
  13. I had boxes. I’ve sold 2 basses - now I have no more boxes. But, Mrs Travis has just ordered some stuff that’s arrived in big boxes, so I could work something out. The bass you’re dying to own…is still available 😉😉😉
  14. Feels about 25/30 years a bit too late? he was using them from the load/reload era. “Newsted” as a band are done. Dunno - love the bloke, and he was probably well up there with Flea as my early influences/inspiration… But £7000+ for that? Big fat Meh.
  15. Effffin ell! Wowzers! so sorry to see a fellow bassist with damaged digits… I now know why I borderline refuse to use tools or do DIY other than painting and hanging pictures. Wishing you a speedy recovery mate - hopefully a good result and some rehabilitation work and you’ll be back at it.
  16. Not today… the BEX is on its way to Cornwall - and I sold the other ABG. im sure I could get something together fairly quickly (Mrs T has just had some new suitcases delivered)
  17. Performed admirably at the beeb… But - it’s now done its job. I’m selling everything except the ripper and the orange BB, so it needs a new home.
  18. It covers so much ground; seems to do everything really well - it’s a lot heavier though…so if someone could find an 8lb ripper…I’d be beans chuffed. My 76 was the lightest of 4 @walshy had 😂
  19. Separation of EA/DG So you could theoretically only have effects on treble strings etc.
  20. Tentative feeler this… I cannot shake the desire for a stingray (I know, I’ve had about 7). Other idea is a 70’s style jazz. so. If you want a British made 44 year old Ric/Wal/Precision hybrid thing…here it is. light. Stereo (and mono) enabled. Light (8lbs ish) road worn ish…(it’s in better condition than I am) …light 🤣 I’m a bit torn really as it’s actually been an inspiring bass. But the ripper is winning every time. would rather trade - but…I’m open to ideas. Has a very old and battered case which I can only assume is original. Oh, and it’s all original, cover, no cracked finish etc… postage is an option anyhow….i reserve the right to come to my senses at any given moment.
  21. I always played Telecasters, 72 custom and 72 thin line.
  22. Sorry. Totally zero context. intimate 2 hour set from Marcus Miller and band at Ronnie Scott’s - Mrs T got tickets for my 40th. It was phenomenal really. Only about 15ft away from the man himself as he regaled us with stories and anecdotes and played a blinding set. Started off with Panther, did numerous other favourites - including Run for cover which was unbeatable really. was funny, as we queued up - a small unassuming guy walked towards the entrance with a Tracksuit top and Jeans on, big rucksack…and a pork pie hat… He literally walked in as we were going through the door - very chilled and cool. some moron soup guy grabbed him for a selfie - didn’t seem too happy about that so I didn’t get to say hello…met his keys player afterwards who was a serious player. Anyhow - if you’re ever at Ronnie Scott’s, don’t bother with their food 😂
