Yeah, looks like I might have to bite the bullet and spend as much on the machineheads as I did the bass. In no rush though - going to take a couple of months this at least. And I woke up this morning to find I’d won a bass on eBay which I don’t want, or need 🥴

Still to buy Machineheads and I’ve realised I’ll need a jack socket cover in gold. Really briefly - Body and neck have arrived at appropriate destinations and work will be a steady process - mostly due to budget constraints. so here’s the inspiration here’s the bass as I bought it...

Has anyone got a bb425x/1025x/2025x pickguard spare, or can lend me one for a template? Or draw around theirs accurately for a template? Thanks

Well...we’ll see, I’ve messaged Sontec who were the spares company Yamaha directed me to when I was looking for a pickguard. I reckon it will be a “no” - last time I messaged them, there were still new 1024/2024’s in shops. So it’s a good few years ago.
