I hadn't realised God was such a fan of rain But then I guess he's responsible for dropping so much of it on you so maybe he does prefer it a milder sunny climate .
Pah! The insult! You're confusing us with Lancashire, which might as well be Mordor
What is it with Oxfordshire vs Yorkshire?? This is the third forum I have joined where this is apparent! Is there an ungerground war I aint aware of?
I do remember York City have an old rivalry with Oxford - the battle of leafy university towns, eh?
That low gain growl in a few of their songs was brilliant
Yeah, I was really digging it

So you won't be bidding? Quite a price!
I think that the difference should be that you have to state item you want to acquire, whereas the sale forums just invite trades with sometimes a vague steer towards various desired items
Which you could achieve by simply improving the quality of the adverts you post

Maybe there's a lot of call for covers bands on the stadium scene? I don't know them, so I couldn't comment - beyond suggesting they should also seek a typewriter with a SHIFT key I thought that was funny, so I'll get my coat in advance...

Trace Elliot is the standout for me
Every time I've played in a band with more than one guitarist, they have been excellent at arranging the guitars so that they complimented each other in both note choices and sounds. Those are the sorts of musicians that you want.
Bingo. Good guitarists will work together, as will all good musicians - be they pro or amateur. Those finding excuses are giving you a good insight into their wider ability and attitude. It can be a difficult journey to realising some of those insights, however. Our current guitarist took a bit of support to get over the hump of bringing a new guitarist in, as he redefined what it was he wanted to contribute and accomplish.

Yeah, I don't quite get it - not when, on the other hand, you're complaining that we're not playing enough gigs or whatever. I mean, this is just a hobby. But you don't join a five-a-side team to not get a game, so come on people!
But why..? I don't understand it.
Well, in recent example we were trying to get some dates together with BC's very own Ou7shined - so you get all that effort and energy from a mate and his bandmates, and then... nothing from your own. I feel personally accountable for them, though perhaps I shouldn't. Some of them can't find time to rehearse; but manage to find time to post about how bad their heads are the morning after on Facebook. We have one who likes to pretend that he's working on some very important business - yet he's talking to me and the guitarist, who both work more senior jobs and are equally as busy, we're just sans pretension. Was that going in the right direction?

My band have started doing this - it's frustrating and embarrassing. Time for an honest conversation!

Yeah, I was there last night - thankfully the weather held out! I thought his tone was great when he swapped to his Jag. It might have been the set-up or perhaps just the stack nearest to us, but the earlier bass wasn't quite right - I'm assuming it was cutting out, or just not cutting through. Still, a great show - and what a unique setting
you couldn't buy the electronics and hardware for one of these for £300! I loved mine but had to sell up to afford my current bass, great pieces of kick though and the range of tones is amazing!
Absolutely, chief - and all in a very light and playable package.

Kids do not learn any slapbass from this man.
Not exactly musical, and the guy's bass face rivals that of the bassist in Haim.
That's what happens when the spirit of jazz gets inside ya... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8wrJZa4ICg -
BC Rich? Charvel? Jackson? Kramer? Might be showing my metal roots!
A similar thing happened to me. The guy said he had already owned a the same bass I was selling, but still asked where it was made. I thought that strange but so what, I got a sale. Checking this guy out it seemed he had a lot of sales on here but no community posts. Months later it was on here for more money being sold by a different member (with. Very low post count IIR), with no indication of its history, not even when I posted a light hearted post in the thread. That was totally ignored. It wasnt even mentioned that it was already secondhand. It had a couple of issues when I sold it, and I was up front about that, I'd also ripped it apart at some point to change pups and electrics etc. The new owner was well aware of its history, they got in touch with me, so it's all good, but to me it's obvious the are some people treating our once safe place as a cheaper, and less legal alternative to eBay etc, with no real beinifit to this community.
Guys, can I make the appeal - if you do feel their are genuine issues with the way business is being conducted on BC, then please do flag to the moderating team. I'll admit, we can't help the prices people might set for their items - but if they're trying to bypass the payment gateway; if you're unsure of the provenance of the item; or if it looks like they're a commercial seller or a scammer, please do get it reported.
Nah, it's fine! Everyone's fine!
I hope so, keep it cool people If people do feel they have been cheated, I'd hope they'd drop one of the team a line. We do get a lot of requests for help, and we're pretty successful in being able to resolve issues.
