1.
Greetings everyone, I'm Chris from Bluebird Recording Studios. I'm looking forward to meeting you guys in March. I also play drums so I will be up for jamming some grooves if any of you fancy it.
Hi Chris. Any chance of a postcode so i can blame the Sat Nav if I get lost, (instead of Mrs BB blaming me.......)

 6. Quick Bump after another buyer pulled out at the last minute.
 7. Just had a look at the list Pete. Really spooky, I have about 75% of them all on treasured vinyl.
 8.
Anyone know a skilled bodywork repairer in the North (I am in Leeds) who might be able to fix a couple of horrible dings in my otherwise pristine Rickenbacker 4003? I thought I was being cool, bought a strap that had a metal ring joining it which weighed a ton. The freakin thing then took 2 chunks out of the edge of the body. They are only in the varnish and binding but looks a bugger so gotta get em fixed. PS. Anyone wanna buy a strap?
I can recommend Steve Robinson. He has done some excellent work for me over the years. In fact I won't trust anyone else if I need any work doing.
 9.
Which shop is that? I wish you hadn't told me.... I'd have witheld my GAS so much longer if I didn't have to just nip into town on payday to get one
It's Curly's music opposite Lewis's and next to McDonalds. He will do you a P Bass for £115 and probably £10 more for a Jazz. Speak to Neil. It was yesterday when I got mine and he made the offer if I pass the info on. He also said he would do a real good deal on a "bulk buy". Maybe we need a thread. I wouldn't be surprised if they are made in the same factory as SX's. There are way too many similarities. Here are the options. Cheers Stuart
 10.
Sounds great that Stuart. Looking forward to giving it a "thump"
More than welcome Pete. Gave it a quick set-up this evening and even the intonation was spot on. Action is coming down nicely. They even supplied a set of allen keys. I am looking forward to having the ability of twating unruly Punters with it at some venues we play. Wouldn't dream of doing that with my main Basses.
 11.
As good as SX basses are meant to be, I can't get on with that headstock, it's just too big. I know it'd just take an hour or so with a hacksaw and some sandpaper to fix it but still, bleurgh! I quite fancy one of those 'unbranded basses' that were posted in the ebay links, but their gone
They are putting some more on e-bay today. I went to the shop in Liverpool and bought a 62 3TS P Bass. They let me have it for £115 and BassChatters can get them at this price if they wish. Ask for Neil. Build quality is amazing and it doesn't sound bad either. Took it to my guitar tech and he was completly floored. It was cheaper than the P-Bass kits he sells, better quality and you don't have to paint them. After I change the bridge, pots and stick a Wizard Thumper on it, I reckon it will be a crackin giggin bass for well under £200. Will take it up to the Lytham Bass Bass and anyone who is interested can have a butchers.
 12.
Shame it's not a 5...i'd be after it otherwise...althoug i'm sure it'd be wicked, i know these have an awesome reputation, i loved my Kingston 5 whilst i had it, but these are meant to blow the Kingstons out of the water! J
+1. Cracking Basses.
 13. I'll excuse the grammar if they are any good. Spoke to them on Friday and am hoping to pop over to Liverpool and have a look at them next week. If they are any good, it will be the perfect basis for a modded Bass that I can take to some of the seedier venues we play. Last friday I spent most of the second set with one eye on a convenient chair leg in case it kicked off. Having a Bass with some value is a bit risky in certain places, this could fit the bill. Will report back on my findings and Pete, if I do get one I will take it up to Lytham and you can have a butchers.
 14.
Anyway, this is the 55-01 mikeh was selling a few weeks ago. I like it, i really do! But i dont care much for the 35inch scale , and im only selling so i can get a bass im as happy with as i am my amp
Ste, I am hoping to make Lytham and will bring the Carvin you passed on. You really did me a favour. It's an awesome bass
 15.
Hi Stuart, Are you talking like these..... which he says are D'Addarios in this thread
Hi Pete, Yep, the're the chappies, except mine are Roundwound. At least i know the maker now. Hope to see you at Lytham in a couple of weeks. Thanks both for confirming.
 16. I am trying to identify the strings on a recent purchase. 5 String set and the Ball Ends, (ooooh errr misses), are different colours. Purple on the B string, Gold on the E String, Red on A String etc. any ideas????
 17. And Ped may be able to get re-acquainted with "Marvin".
 18.
Am quite tempted to come but I don't have transport I was also tempted to offer up my practice room since it would be free and is just off the motorway in stockport. Anyone with a large van going from manchester as I can bring a lot of gear
Not a large Van, but I am hoping to go and can give you a lift assuming something doesn't come out of left field and cock my plans up, again...........
 19.
indeed
+1 For the indeed suggestion.
 20.
...and the G was originally for George, as in Fullerton.
Who has now gone back to Fender apparently.
 21.
Hello Stu, yeh - we're there next Friday 22nd. Had a good night there last time.
Hi Alan, we had a good night as well. Looking forward to going back. Hope to bump into you at the St Annes do if you are going. Nick is hoping to go as well, I believe.
 22.
It's currently on my Mex Jazz, cost about £15 and I've decided I don't really like it. Would trade for a white one or sell for a similar price to what I paid as it's mint (offers?). It's made by Venom, and fits the Jazz perfectly, no problems fitting it. Will try and add pics tomorrow between playing with my new rig and going to the Job Centre.
Jono, Got a white one off a Mex Jazz if you want a trade. Cheers, Stuart
 23.
I'll measure it accurately tonight and post the measurements later. I will be going to the NWBB in March but won't be putting this in the car because if I did, I wouldn't be able to get anything else in. We're playing at the Royal Oak in B'pool next Saturday and at the King Eddy VII the following Friday - I'll see if one of the others can carry it if you like.
See you got a couple of gigs at King Eddy's Alan. Think we are there beginning of April.
