1. Great pedal,as Im sure evryone here knows!! Good price too, Id be all over it if I didnt already have one!! Free bumpage
2. Thanx for the pointers guys, always willing to learn of new interesting gears and ideas...is anyone after this? perhaps...le bump?
3. Hey Guys and Gals up for trade here is my good Ol' MXR Bass BlowTorch, Im pretty sure many of you know what this lil baby does, she's a very versatile distortion/fuzz pedal, but she's just not what Im after tone-wise atm, hence this post! If you're looking to emulate the Muse bass tone on a budget, this little baby will go a long way, its a quite gated, synthy sound I think, whilst Im looking for a more OTT, wild, crazy old school fuzz. This is a great pedal, retails for around 100-140 quids new I think, and runs off 2 9 v's or an 18 v supply (Sadly I dont have one of these or Id throw it in too) so, lots of headroom there. 3 band eq,mid selection switch, volume, gain and the torch on/torch off switch which essentially sticks a shedload of GRRR onto your tone. Currently two of these pedals are being used in the Earth lineup, one for the bassist and one for Lori Goldston, ex Cellist of Nirvana, so there's some crediblilty for you here's the obligatory youtube demo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1jNIAapaE0 Condition is great, it's been used for practice a fair bit, and gigged 3 or 4 times, but not in the last two years or so. It comes boxed with instructions, the box has a slight rip in the top,but thats it,and the pedal is in pretty much perfect condition, Ill get pics up tonight, but they will be phone pics Im afraid. As Ive said, Im looking for some kind of proper Fuzz pedal, but I will consider anything interesting
4. Funnily enough, just the other day i was wondering how my old Auto Q was gettin on Bump from me, you can trust this guy,and he's speedy too, plus I do love the ol' Bass Micro Synths...If I had the cash oooooooh
5. Its my bday, give mea few days and I might have the free funds to take this offa your hands if it's still around!
6. This pedal works great on bass, i use mine all the time, great 90's sound, great price have a bump
7. Really cool bass there, I have back problems, and this could look great sitting next to my mustang...what's the neck like?
8. Since buying my 'berg 2 years ago,I too have become a bit of an evnagelist, aha Great basses,FANTASTIC quality and playability, with a great myriad of tones, no other bass Ive played has come close in terms of feel to my 'berg Free Bump
9. Have anothr bump, seriously guys, if this was built less than two years ago, then it was crafted by one of only 10 (count em) 10 people!! Only now have Sandberg (slightly) grown, each of them is still hand made...they are like butter under your fingers, if they don't improve your playing at least five fold there may be something wrong with you...aha Classic fender looks, without being a ten a penny bass...how is this STILL here?
10. Im pretty sure Ive bumped your Pro Co today, but hey, Im soooo nice, and Sandbergs are sooooooo good you're getting another one free! Seriously, I own a Ken Taylor, and its been giggged HARD, and it's pretty beat up (Im not a believer in pristine instruments, good strings and fretboard yes, but cosmetics are just those) and I still get compliments on it,just for the sound! This baby looks to be in great condition, and I can attest to the quality of those Delano PU's, they are loud and they cut through, and they hav a ton of variety too, With rising prices this is a truly great bass at a very competitive price! If this is still here in a week 1) I'd be shocked and 2) Id have to go rob a bank...
11. Used to own that phaser, it's a very nice one actually...so free bump
12. These are cool little pedals, great for the "Grunge" sound, Novoselic of Nirvana fame used one live for most Nirvana tours, swapping to Kurts DD-1 for a while, then changing back becuase he preferred the Rat...If I had the money I'd totally have this, and I own enough distortion/fuzz pedals as it is
13. It also appears to be a Thunder 1A, with a knob missing, meaning it's the active version, albeit with a whole 1 band preamp, and the need for 2 9 volts, but still, pretty cool, and it has a passive switch, also the old logo means it likely actually dates from 78/79 rather than the 80's Bloody good deal, I love my Westone 1A,solid,dependable japcrap with a nice precision tone
14. Two decent pedals for sale here The first is the MXR Bass Auto Q, a lovely little envelop filter dedicated to bass, very funky with a nice little shimmer effect too, very tweakable, and with a nice high quailty red LED. The usual excellent MXR metal casing, boxed with manual, and with velcro added to avoid slipping, though the battery holding part's damaged, so I'm offering it at £40, I've seen these retail new at £150. SOLD Also the Boss ODB-3, a strange little box, not sure if it want's to be an overdrive or a fuzz, for those who don't know, it's the pedal Flea used for the openening riff of "Around the World" It's a nice little pedal, but I have a dedicated fuzz and OD, so no longer use. The rubber seal around the peg is slightly torn (see pic) but works perfectly. £30 SOLD If you wanna come round and inspect, feel free, my door's always open
15. THIS IS A RIDICULOUS GOOD PRICE FOR A BASICALLY BRAND NEW SANDBERG,SOMEBODY BUY BEFORE I CUT OFF A LEG AND SELL A KIDNEY JUST TO GIVE THIS BABY A GOOD HOME!! I'm serious, it's easily a grands worth of bass
16. Bump on me for Westone love I got to noodle on one of these a couple o' years back great little basses, nice and quirky, and some nice tones...japcrap FTW!
17. Free bump for me, Im too skint and not a sunburst fan,or this would be on its way to me by now
18. Seriously people, I dont understand how this is still here, this is a PRO level bass, from a company comprising of a WHOLE 9 people!! Every bass is built from hand, from scratch, and inspected and signed off by one of the team (mine was built by Phil) May not be as well known as Warwick (Also german) but they are egineered and built just as well, these guys ised to build pianos in the early days, and have only just started making guitars and I prefer them to Warwicks by a country mile!! Also, for collectors out there, Sandberg IS expanding,ie, getting an earlier model NOW will mean it'll be worth ALOT more down the line, a CLASSIC sandberg if you will...
19. I love Sandbergs, and this is a beautiful bass fo sho!!! The pickups are awesome, and the build quality on these things is superb, it really is, I've played dozens and own a Ken Taylor 4 string. The amount of tones from them with those Humbuckers and coil switch is ridiculous free bump from me
20. Yea, I know the Westone price is a little high, but like I say, it's a feeler really, I don't want to sell it at all, but I also like having a roof over my head... The RIC COPY needs to move, I simply cannot play it due to the weight. Is that the old arcade on Pershore road cotteridge in ur pic btw? Used to live right by it, still pretty close...and thanx for the bump
21. It's been a couple of years since I've been round there, but I couldn't find a decent cup of coffee for love nor money... As for talk of MIJ-MIA,In general, comparisons between Jap and US basses is something like, US gets the better materials and of course the graphite re-inforced truss rods BUT Japans build quality is amazing, and the electronics are on a par, many suggest the reason Japan makes mainly specialist and odd fender basses, is that if they made lots of the standard P and J basses, due to the price difference but similiar overall quality, much less US basses would get sold, losing lotsa money for Fender. My MIJ Mustang certainly feels 100% quality, very different to MIM in my opinion. Overall, I'd say Jap fenders are my fave.
