  1. For sale we have a late 2000's Anniversary ric-style (still not allowed to say copy I dont think? ) in black and white. This was a present to me from someone about 6 months ago, but was bought brand new I believe. Sadly, as mentioned, I've got some stuff goin down with my back, and this bass is big and heavy, meaning I've barely played her. She sounds pretty good, decent imitation of the Ric grrrowl for sure, and sdoes sit nicely with guitars in a mix, kinda muscles in a bit into their sonic territory if you know what I mean. It's a korean factory set-up, you guys know what this means, it's playable, but certianly a couple o' hours tweeking could improve it to be suitable to you. I personally think she looks lovely, and it's a shame fopr he to be cooped up in my room. Because of the weight I've never gigged her,and only had one real rehersal, so she's in pretty great condition, almost as new. Lookin for maybe £200, or good offers, she only fits 1 gig bag I've got, but I'd throw that in too Sorry about the fone cam pics
  2. le grrrrr aw well, Im gonna stick some gear up for sale anyways, if by magic magicness that fenders still around when I manage to make the cash.... then it will be mine!!! bwahaha...Walsall does seem to be full of bassists with great gear...shame it doesn't have a single coffee shop, that lil starbucks thing on the station does NOT count
  3. This is Literally what Ive been looking for, a green japan made jazz bass....why now do I have to be SOOO broke free bump for utter craving the worst is im one train from walsall...ARRRRGGGGH someone, buy my westone and ric copy NOW, then I cud sell a leg and have this
  4. Tis a lovely bass, I love mine to death, its from the same era withthe gold lettering, my mate and my housemate both have thunder 1's with the eagle logo, so later models! They do sound pretty damn good and I for one love the aesthetic, free bump from me chap!
  5. Sandbergs are the shizzle imo, living in brum has given me the oppurtunity to play them through for a couple of years due to the wonderful store that is PMT culminating in me purchasing a rather fetching maple fretboard Ken Taylor 4 and a TE 715X for my 19th...damn they sound nice, and they play like butter, with perfect action. These seriously take a whatsit on Fender from a rather large height, and along with Warwick prove that Germany is way ahead in terms of exceptional quality at great prices when it comes to bass! Have a brummie bump on me!! I'd love to take it off your hands but I'm skint and there's not many tones it can get that my Ken Taylor model already can't, sexy bass tho man, sexy bass!
  6. I have 4 string version, in high gloss off white, man these basses are a dream to play, and in blue burst are simply sexual, I'd have picked this up in a second had I got the money!
  7. Though the Supercollider is horrendously HORRENDOUSLY tempting, I'm trying to be good and save for a Wounded Paw Attack Goat...So I'm sadly gonna have to pass, but have a free bump for all the lovely lovely fuzzy goodness...
  8. Pm replied wizbat and dannybuoy Im generally lookin for either another fuzz, preferably a nasty one for leads as Im sorted for rhythm fuzz (I like fuzz ) or some kind of enevelope filter or maybe a phaser for the funkier stuff I play. feel free to PM and no worries if not interested.
  9. I bought this maybe a year or two ago, it was the last one in the shop, boxed as new, though the stickers it came with appeared to have dissapeared (pedal dates from 1997 if they're anything to go by) Allows you to add a lower 4th, upper 5th or to solo the effect, with a built in (albeit digitaly) distortion, tone and noisegate, seperate outputs for effect and clean signal if you like to split signals, and a nifty output level monitor. Its great for adding meat live when your guitarist takes a solo, or for adding some surprising high passages to solo work, I used to use it in conjuction with distprtion/fuzz a lot as its built in distortion is a bit digital sounding, but its ot awful. I put it away when moving hosue and just never got it out again...runs off a 9v power supply, which Ill supply if requested. Pics on request. I know Im a newbie and unkown on here, but this is a genuine FT guys and gals, we all gotta start somewhere
  10. I may be interested as it could work wonders in my new band, but I dont get paid til 19th, so if you get an offer in the mean time, by all means let her go, I have heard it doesnt tend to like being played in conjuction with other pedals, can you confirm/correct this piece of (possible) hearsay!
  11. Hi everyone, Been recommended this site by several Ug'ers, as Im on the bass forum over there all the time. Same user name and everything, us brummies are simple folk! Er, Ive been playing between 4 and 5 years I think, lost count over time, currently I own an old beat up Peavey Milestone, an 82 Westone Thunder 1A in great nick with slight mods,a reissue MIJ Fender Mustang (the sexy off white/tortoise shell version, with retro hardcase) and my main bass is a Sandberg ken Taylor 4 string! I play through a Trace Elliot 715X,and my stompbox collection as yet consists of: A beat up, almost dead Behringer Tuner , a Boss ODB-3, EHX Small Clone, Akai Unibass, Boss DD-6 DigiDelay and MXR Blowtorch. Not the best or worst rig in the world, gives me an agressive Jesse F. Keeler tone which I use in one of my bands, or a thicker, bassier Desert rock tone, which I use in the other. Im addicted to fuzz! I have a reasonably eclectic taste in music, My fave bad ever is Primus, how typical for a bassist eh. here's a few pics: (Main bass and amp) (The other basses) (Most, but not all my pedals) (Amp on its own) But yeah,I dig muchos music, especially Shoegaze, Grunge, Desert Rock and Blues Rock. Im a bit crap at this sort of thing,so Im gonna end and sort of trail off....
