    Just watching ITV, a Vodafone advert comes on and somewhere in the middle is a clip of two guitarists and two bassist playing. I'm sure I'd seen something interesting, found the advert on YouTube and I'm certain one of the bassists is playing a blue Dingwall D Roc. It might be lockdown stir craziness setting in, but that's quite an exciting advert bass spot!

    I had one of the P models, the RPB65, in red. It was a really nice bass, with a great sound from the Entwistle pickups. Bit of a bargain they are too. I only moved it on because I had never owned a P bass but subsequently decided it wasn't quite for me. I found resting on the pickup a bit of a bugger with the screw positioning. Nothing against the Revelation though!

    Cheers bigsmoke, certainly enjoying it so far. The active circuit sounds great, quite a big volume difference between it and the passive setting but perhaps that's to be expected - I've not had much active experience though.

    My first NBD in really rather a long time, and my first 5 string. The catchily-named Cort Action DLX V AS OPN... Day 1 and, apart from the tight 5 string spacing getting some used to, I'm loving it. I played the 4 string of the next model up in the shop too, the Artisan with bartolinis and hipshot tuners, and it also played very nicely and looked great. Anyway, some rubbish photos to prove it. I'll take that markbass preamp sheet off when I've learnt which side the bass and treble pots are on... Edd

    Thanks for the replies both. Yeah Twanger that's what I was getting at. I'd only a seen a few negative reviews to be fair, almost all positive. They do seem like a good shout for a Fretless novice.

    Hey Russ, I know the policy well! Out of interest, I read a few reviews that complained about uneven fingerboard spots. Have you had any issues with this at all? Where abouts in Essex are you roughly by the way? (feel free to PM of course). Edd
