1. *Further Price Drop - £185* Up for Sale/Trade is my TC Electronic BG250 112 combo + fitted Roqsolid cover. Trade ideally for a 4 string Fretless, but would consider all options. Collection from South East London, or I can meet within most of parts of London or north Kent. Cash or Bank Transfer only please. In very good working condition. Only minor cosmetic damage to the back of the amp caused by a trolley. I have tried to show this in the photos. Fitted Roqsolid cover with 5mm Foam Padding and Cloth, Velcro Placeholder Strap and Velcro Handle Strap - also in very good condition. Gigged a handful of times, otherwise used for rehearsal and home practice only. Kept in a smoke-free environment. I am selling only because I recently downsized to a Phil Jones, picked up from our own ambient. Official blurb and specs can be found here: https://www.tcelectronic.com/Categories/Tcelectronic/Bass/Combo-Amplifiers/BG250-112/p/P0BRK Cheers, Edd
2. Ah Fantastic! That's another book I was looking for, which I only seemed to be able find on dodgy sites for hundreds of pounds... Thanks very much!
3. Hi all, I am looking for any information anyone might have regarding the Cherry Lane - Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger play-it-like-is Tab book. Or maybe even somebody looking to sell? (Probably a long shot! And maybe should be in the 'Wanted' section not here) I was lucky enough to stumble upon the Down On The Upside album Tab book in a shop near me a few years ago, but I think they are both well out of print these days. I have seen a couple of copies on ebay but they are listed by people asking for a few hundred quid, and frankly I don't want the book THAT much! Cheers, Edd
4. Bought Richard's Torque combo. He was helpful and pleasant throughout, not to mention delivering for a very reasonable charge, and my crap cup of coffee (sorry about that!) I would have no hesitation in dealing with Richard again. Edd
5. Looks bloody excellent! The idea of doing a refin is interesting, but I'm just not sure if I have the guts to start attacking a bass in case it all goes pear shaped and I'm left with a monster!
6. Wow, that Jazz! Stunning.
7. May I point you shamelessly in the direction of the Ibanez I have on the marketplace: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=73720 It is a lovely bass but I just couldn't get to grips with it. Edd
8. Still available. Looking once again for Trade or Sale. Cheers, Edd
9. Yes indeed! I'm at Uni at the moment and the bass is at home, but I will be back for christmas. Edd
10. These look like lovely basses, I'm quietly considering the L-2000 as my possibly next purchase if I can possibly gather some funds together. Excellent choice on Blueburst and Maple - that's what I'd go for too.
11. I have one and I agree totally with what's been said so far. They are nice basses to play, but yes, you do need to slightly adjust your playing style due to the length. The stock pickups sound good I think and there is a noticable difference in tone between the two. With the tone control and 3 way selector you can achieve a good variation for different styles of music. In term of a case; although it doesn't offer great protection, I use the Stagg acoustic bass bag. The corners could get damaged though so I have added some extra padding to be sure. I had a hard case made initially, and it is absolutely huge!
12. Great deal on a great bass, Quick to reply to PMs and very helpful! Also, the bass was very well packed, and sent extremely quickly. Buy with confidence. Edd
13. Well it looks in great condition, as you said. I can understand it not being played while it's competing against a Fender Jazz Special with a Status neck! That sounds like loooovely bass. Thanks for the pictures. Edd
14. Hi, I'm really interested. I've been looking for a headless just to take away to Uni myself! I would really like to see some pictures. Cheers, Edd
15. It does have a lovely finish but I just can't get to grips (excuse the pun) with the neck profile; I find it a bit too fat. If you are that interested, I shouldn't think it would be all that difficult to find a good hard case and agree on the price, then perhaps an independent courier or something like that. It's a long way from South Manchester to where I am in the South East so a collection would be pretty inconvenient. The only other thing is I have a friend who has family in Manchester, but I have no idea when he would be next visiting or anything like that and I can't really ask him to drive up just to deliver a bass. Edd
16. Hi, Playing acoustically I have found that when playing fingerstyle, you do struggle to match an acoustic guitar. But, when playing with a pick it is much better. I'm not sure what postage would be at the moment, also the gig bag I have for it is a pretty flimsy thing, more for transport than protection so I worry how it would stand up to be posted. Edd
