  1. In my experience Chromes = sticky which is a shame cause they actually sound quite good in my opinion. All other flats I’ve tried = smooth; almost as smooth as a smoothie but not quite as smooth as a smoothie 😁
  2. I’ve thought about doing that as the laquer makes my fretting hand sweat, not sure if I will tho as I tend to like to keep things stock. An even smoothier smoothie indeed 😁
  3. Having just acquired a Old Smoothie with flats I can now join in 😁 ‘She’ arrived wearing EB Cobalts Flats which sounded lovely - very musical, lots of clear overtones. Not for me though as much higher tension than I’m used too and I could tell with much more playing time I’d end up with RSI. So I switched in a set of Dunlop Flats, which are my go to on my other basses, lower tension and plenty of top end when compared to most flats. With the lower tension I’m able to pluck at the bridge and bend/vibrato with much greater ease. Like an old pair of shoes.
  4. Brand new set used for light practice for less than 6 hours total. Cut for MM stingray 3+1
  5. It’s way out, just came on my Spotify playlist and I thought wow that’s way out. I hadn’t really noticed before which says quite a bit for my Ears. Thank god for Basschat for confirmation of an out of tune bass!
  6. I can send it as large letter/ in padded envelope/jiffy (without the box) for £20
  7. I’ll have to check that out and get back to you, already has a box though
  8. Really solid, useful pedal. I’ve used on a handful of gigs as great as a kill switch and for volume swells. The wah is fantastic and sounds great just not much need for it with what I do. in great condition, boxed and built like a tank £65 posted UK dropped to £55
  9. Like new, boxed, latest edition. I’ve had this 12 months and used it a handful of times. Has some Velcro on the base otherwise clean as a whistle. After a nice P/J set of pickups! Amazing tone without any signal loss (like all EBS pedals). Great fun but I’m unlikely to need it for the gigs I do hence sale. £120 boxed with manual and posted to you UK.
  10. Mark bass basskeeper useful little thing, I have two but only need one really so hence sale.
  11. Last Price drop ! £350. Gathering dust. Lovely 5 string that I bought from bass direct 2/3 Months ago so recently cleaned and set up well. It’s in superb condition, I can’t find any scratches/chips/marks on it anyway. weight - 4.5kg TRADES - looking for a Squire Mini precision bass in red (plus cash adjustment) or Fender Jazz/P at right specs and price, try me I’m open to suggestions! I’m after a P/J set for the P7 if this goes first so possible trade there too! See also Sire P7 I have for sale/trade I’ve used it just for practice as was my intention and I’d like to keep it for that purpose but need to raise some funds. £399 includes gig bag and delivery via Parcelforce 48 collection welcome. Can do a price without gig bag too just send me a PM. I travel to West London via A1 three times a weeks so meet/up delivery is also possible. k
  12. Sale or Trade - Postage possible as I have a box Awesome bass ! Just a bit too similar to the P7 I’m now preferring for gigs. I bought this new from Andertons in October 2018. This is a first generation model with 7.5” fretboard radius, currently strung with flats (105/45) but I have a used set of rounds I can put on and set up. Action I would describe as medium-low it will go lower particularly if I set it up with the rounds as they’re a slightly lighter gauge (100/40). Great pre-amp on these. The condition is excellent, a few small dings to the paintwork of the body (photographed). The only issue is the passive tone knob needs adjusting - possibly a new grub screw is required as it doesn’t always grip the pot shaft. I’m after a 5 string jazz/MM (will consider most brands) or Sandberg 4 string p/j anything, fretless. I am looking for something of greater value or similar so cash maybe your way depending on what it is.
  13. 😂Excellent 👍 sounds about right. Thanks for that
  14. If you have bathroom scales you could try the with bass - without bass method?
  15. Under 10lbs is pretty good for a 5’er of this Model my 4 string V7 is almost 11 lbs
  16. Looks great 👍 how much does she way Cap’n?
  17. I feel you! Still this is up at the top of ‘my next bass’ list. Stingray vibe but with a Smooth and mellow ‘edge ‘ . Good luck with the sale, I’ll keep coming back to oogle until it’s gone 😁
  18. Love these! Wish I had the readies for it ! GLWTS!
  19. Wish I’d been awake for this one ! Bargain
  20. Thanks 🙏 thought it would be something simple. Still I seem to have a habit of messing up simple things 😂
  21. So NBD update! Still enjoying this bass but the knobs are probably the worst part! The stacked knobs especially the volume and tone pot are stiff and when you move one on the stack the other moves with it! I’ve never changed tone/volume knobs. Any recommendations/suggestions/dummies guide to removing/replacing?
  22. Agree with all you guys I had a 600, lovely warm tube tones from these
