1. I have 2 OW customs, a J5 and a PJ5 and they are simply the best instruments I've ever played. I've had a great relationship with OW since 2006 and whilst I will always have a yearning for something super high end (Fodera AJ) I really can't see me going anywhere else for my bass needs. I also have 2 Fender J4's and a Bass Mods K6 and they are all great instruments but the Overwaters are always my go-to basses.

 8. Obviously your name, maybe a photo or logo and a few words about what you do... Bass player Lessons, sessions and performance etc. Then whatever contact details you want to share, such as mobile number and email address. Unless you have a business premises, don't put a postal address but do put a website or links to facebook/twitter pages. Vista print do decent cards and you can use one of their templates or upload your own.
 9.
Southport Weekender. Will be seeing Chaka Khan there the day before too. Not your average weekend in Minehead I can assure you.
See you there!!
 10.
You're PLAYING with Archie Drell? Wow! Tighten up is such a nice track to play!
I am and yes it is! Played with him at the Indigo2 back in November and also doing a Northern Soul Weekender in Skegness in September. It's a dream gig!
 11. I'll see them at The Southport Weekender in May. I'm there with Archie Bell & The Drells.
 12. I'm musical director for a 40 piece choir in Southampton, backed by a live band. The arrangements are good and the song choices are varied. Go for it, it's fun!! http://youtu.be/P_kzTS5i618

 14.
I'm not far from Southampton, so I'll check out River Studios. The website looks promising!
You'd be very welcome to pay us a visit.
 15.
Anybody go to the Wembley arena gig in the early 80's ? Truly outrageous gig, with David Sanborn band supporting. Silly amount of talent on show, including..... Marcus Miller, Nate East, Steve Gadd, Ricky Lawson, Hiram Bullock, Greg Phillinganes, and a few other others.
Yep, I was there. My father was a jazz trumpet player so this was part of my education aged 12!!
 16.
Our band was formed when we were at King Alfred's College in Winchester from 1968 to 1971. We now live in different parts of the South. When we reformed six years ago, we decided to meet monthly and rehearse on a cyclical basis in the areas where we live, so we have visited various studios in Hampshire, Surrey, Essex and Cambridgeshire. I have to say most are scruffy, ramshackle and dirty. The general standard is poor. It's not unusual to find a tide-mark on my shoes after a vist to the toilet! Why is it that so many studios offer so little in the way of cleanliness, comfort, space and amenity? The only studio we have found where the whole experience is really excellent is Blue Shed in Soham.
We're clean!! Come and see us in Southampton.... 17.
I like the PJ5. Makes me think about ordering something from them, but I can't see it in their catalog ... I guess they'd do another one ?
Yeah, for sure. They built one for Trevor Barry from the 'Strictly' BBC show and one for me. Speak to the boys, they'll sort it out for you
 18. I had an Overwater 7 a while back (it's still on here somewhere). I have a Bassmods K6 and it's a wonderful instrument so I'm betting the 7 will be awesome too! I'm in Southampton.
 19. I bought a SR5 from them in 2009 and dealt with Grasshopper. I had the same experience but bought a brand new 2006 LTD in black/gold which was a discontinued model so they were happy to ship it.
 20. As a kid, I had a poster of Madness on my wall and used to gaze longingly at the black/maple P bass played by Mark 'Bedders' Bedford. That would be my choice, despite it being a standard instrument!
 21. Take a look at these..... http://www.bassmods.com/7-String_c_28.html I've got a K6 and it is incredible!
 22. Definitely track it coz when it arrives at your local Parcel Force depot, they will send you a letter telling you it has arrived which will take another few days. Once the tracking says "at local depot" you can go and collect it. I have a parcel which was sent from California via USPS Priority Express on the 24th Oct. It cleared UK customs today so should be at my local depot tomorrow or friday.
 23. Overwater J5 with East J Retro and Overwater PJ5 with P Retro
