1. Has this been reported to ebay? How about asking the vendor for more pictures? Or posting a question on the listing like "if you own this bass why are you using pictures of my bass to try to sell it?" I noticed that the seller has no feedback.
2. Back Before Breakfast - South Somerset's premier middle aged folk rock collective. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Back-Before-Breakfast/152500308138036 I can also be seen in various pit bands and depping for the local cowboys.
3. I like new strings, the seem to stop punching through the band after about a year then I can't hear clearly what I'm playing.
4. I've come across similar misrepresentations of conditions on the ground when I worked as a piano mover. We charged extra for stair or steps and always checked with the client. So many times the conditions didn't match up. One occasion we had to take a grand piano out of a big house in Bath , we were told "there is one flight of stairs" , there were three inside and one outside! A good tip is to check the venue out on Google Earth,
5. I owned a five string for years, only used four.
6. It's time to get a better 12 string, I've been using a Stagg, I set it up nicely but the sound is a little "cheap". I'm on a budget so the Villager seems to be a good option at £300 http://www.fender.com/en-GB/series/california/villager-12-string-cutaway-electric-solid-spruce-top-mahogany-back-and-sides-fishman-preamp-with-built-in-tuner Anyone tried one?
7.
Me too. Strangely I was only talking about the likelihood of something going pear-shaped about 2 hrs ago. Lemmy taught me to play via Space Ritual. He was my earliest and biggest influence, although I don't play like him now. I've met him twice and he was a gent. All the best to you Lem!
Another Space Ritual student , never met him though. If you haven't read "White Line Fever" do so.
8. I had to learn Madness' House of Fun for a pantomine pit band a couple of years back, that is a serious bass line.
9.
I always thought of this forum as reasonably well informed, but some of the comments on this thread verge on comic parody. As far as I can tell no-one commenting on this thread (up till now) was there and so are basing their opinions on a tv mix of less than half of the full show. This is my favourite........ You don't know, you cannot judge - you have never seen them live!! I was in the crowd at Glastonbury and my opinion (for what it's worth) they more than lived up to the hype. Jagger in particular exceeded all expectations and only his face showed his age. Yes, there were a few dodgy moments but in general they kept a huge crowd thoroughly entertained and while I have seen crowds dancing and jumping around before, never have I seen such a wild spontaneous outburst of dancing as when "Satisfaction" started. This was a legendary band, on a legendary stage at a legendary event - the Stones lived up to that!
I was there, and as i said much earlier in this thread it was great.
10. One morning during the Festival a Spitfire flew over our campsite and did a barrel roll. It was a pleasure and privilege to see this rare old beautiful beast that played a huge part in aviation history still flying today. A Spitfire would get the living sh#t kicked out of it by a modern fighter jet.
11. "Let he who has been in a successful rock band since 1963, helped write the rule book and many catchy hit records and is till doing it in 2013 cast the first stone" (no pun intended)
12.
I am not sure that is true about being a fan. I like a few of their songs, Paint It Black and give me shelter to name two which they didn`t play. I liked it because they went to Glastonbury, which they didn`t need to, and probably got a fraction of what they usually got paid. I just liked the whole set because it seemed they were coming back to the people, instead of being charged £150 for the privilege. Maybe they weren`t great , but as I said, the majority of the country have no experience of playing an instrument, so they enjoy them as entertainers, not as critiques.
They did play Paint it Black and Give me Shelter.
13. I was about 100 yards back stage right. It was good, you had to be there. But it was good, like really awesomely cheesey crowd pleasingly fun stuff type good. I liked it.
14. I see empty spaces.
15. After the demise of my fretless Zzaj bas (due to woodworm) I have ended up with a surplus set of jazz bass pickups (Wizard 84s) and a need to put them to good use. Any ideas? Fretless or fretted, something different, or classic. At the moment I'm thinking either something Steinbergerish or a classic jazz with a maple board build from spare parts. EDIT- or maybe something like this:
16. ---and a snip at £289!
17. My project is to fill my house with smashed up bits of guitars.
18. The for sale section here is my preferred outlet.
19. The same guy is also selling... 20. I suppose you could stick it on the end of a Stienberger to look a bit less 80s?

22. Get "Live and bursting out" - a live "best of " featuring Glascock at his best. I have to admit Glen Cornick is one of my biggest influences.
23. Sorry Tom, I'm in negotiation , I'll get back to you if it doesn't work out.
24. The output was lower than my 2006 fender stock pickups, it caused problems switching between basses.
