1. Since i haven't thrown myself into the ring yet for this... My band is called Foxdie - named after the virus from Metal Gear Solid (we do get geekier...seriously). We have been classed as, I quote, Electro Nerd Metal. Which sort of stuck hah! We are a 3 Piece from Aberdeen, Scotland and like being super synthy on recordings then adding some total insanity live (with live bass, guitar and drums...and keytar.) Influence wise is weird as hell... Rage against the machine (Synths?!?!), Muse, Pendulum, And anything dancey or dubsteppy. Recently got compared to Rage against the machine and pendulum. Which i was totally happy with since thats the sound that I personally was aiming for! Result! Live is a very fun thing. 3 people - about 4 synths, 1 guitar, bass, drums, and keytar. Also with live vocoders. We have no current gigs lined up - though i suspect May/June - we are currently planning a video which we will film and edit ourselves. and also writing some new stuff (which is currently sounding LOW... 5 string anyone? ) Link is HERE - please take a listen, I don't imagine it will be to many peoples tastes to be honest, since it is so dance/trance. Why we keep getting put on the same lineup as metal bands, i'll never know. Davie
 2. To be honest, i've came into money issues so i'm needing to sell instead of trade. I'll check the cab tonight. Dave

 6. Hi all, As i said the other day - myself and a few mates started a promo company up here to get the fun back into gigs again. and it appeared to work. All the bands had a decent crowd and appeared to all have great fun. I thought it would be a good idea to showcase the bands work - so i burned some CD's and handed them out to people who wanted one. Turns out i should've made more! If anyone fancies hearing some of the bands from up here then please feel free to download the CD tracks which i've zipped. Note: I've got all the bands permission to do this. Cheers. Davie
http://rapidshare.com/files/456543074/Spread_the_Word_Gig_1.zip
7.
i've got a hartke hydrive 410 that i'm toying with trading in for a 4ohm cab of some description, viat works really well with a 5 string bass. How well does the 610 stack up at the bottom end (30-40hz)?
In all honesty - i'm not 100% sure - since i've never (as i can recall) used a 5 string through it. I think i'd sold that bass before i bought the cab. But it does reproduce brilliant sounds with my octave pedal (if that helps at all). Have you tried the 8x10 before? I find that the 6x10 has a bit more definition to the notes, but still sounds like a monster.

 16. I'd wear a wristband. In fact i wear a wristband all the time... Though they've all gone missing.
 17.
I really wouldn't. I'm not going to get offended by someone offerring me less than I think something's worth. I'll simply say "no thanks". I don't understand why anyone would consider a low offer offensive.
I think its more "someone trying to pull a fast one" for lowballing like that. But a quick deep breath cures that! For example - i had someone PM me today regarding my head and cab and offered something which i felt was way below what it was worth. simply said "sorry but no" But i see where the Thegreek is coming from. For the record - i've had good buying (bad for my cash!) and selling whilst here.
