1. Hey guys, After some playing around for the last few weeks whilst at practice, I've found I'm not using this pedal pretty much at all. I'm going from clean to all out fuzz, my amp is able to give me the grit I want. So this awesome pedal is pretty much surplus to requirements. FWIW if I was doing more overdriven/distorted sounds, this would not be leaving. I managed to dial in a RATM sound in about 2 seconds (which is my idea of distorted heaven!) It's the finnish model. I haven't noticed anything bad about this pedal really. I don't think I have the box but it will be shipped very well regardless. Looking for about £300ish + postage. Cheers.
2. Mike bought my network switch, swift payment and let me know once the item had arrived. Would use again.
3.
Or this, he said shamelessly plugging his own bass http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1
Ohh thats pretty!
4. Try Bannermans? http://www.bannermanslive.co.uk/ Could be a good shout. Nice venue too.
5. I've heard some really good things about the Iron Ether Nimbus and Source Audio Reverb pedals.
6. Hey guys, It is with a little regret that I've decided to sell my Source Audio BEF Pro and Hot Hand 3. Also included is TRS cable for linking to 3rd party pedals and controlling with the hot hand. I still have the box for the BEF but I'm not sure about the HH3. Will be well packed regardless. I'd imagine shipping to be about £7. This video can show what the HH and BEF can do - These units are great fun and very cool to use, I actually upgraded from the std BEF and HH2 to this (for the additional EQ, Presets and 3rd party support.) Thanks EDIT: Been asked if I'd split. Ideally i'd like to sell them together but the individual prices are:- HH3 - £90 BEF - £160
7. I'm not a fan of ...like clockwork. Yet. Maybe need a few more listens New Black Sabbath and Daft Punk albums are excellent!
8.
Only just spotted this and I am jealous of that colour. Time apart makes the heart grow fonder and all that
I really hope so.
9. Calm Like a Bomb - Rage Against the Machine Great tune - highly underrated!
10. Hey guys, Looking to sell my Boss SYB-5 pedal. I've not used it much whilst on my board, still have the box too Great synth tone, I really liked driving it with my B7K. Kinda made it pretty mental Just selling to afford my trip to Houston and Barefaced cab! Happy to ship for about £5 in the UK.
11.
Here you go, 30 pages of discussion covering everything you want to know - http://basschat.co.uk/topic/72012-drum-n-bassdubstep/page__hl__dubstep Get reading! As a side note - Enter Shikari. The bass player plays clean bass only. No effects at all. All the Dubstep stuff is done with a computer and synth by Rou. Disappointing!
I'm not sure if he does anymore. When they played Aberdeen he was using a HotHand, and using fx. Strange.
12. Stuff like a nice gated synthy fuzz (iron ether oxide/mxr blowtorch etc) with something like an OC2 (or in my case - oc3 in oc2 mode) in front of it. Then play quite high on the fretboard. You'll get a fair few responses, theres quite alot of organic bass wobblers on here. Take a look at the OBW facebook also.
13.
There's a lot more stuff going on in Rich's life at the moment than meets the eye, stuff he won't freely talk about.
Very frustrating for all parties involved...
14. Hmm could be harder than I imagined! And I Presume this gets harder when you begin stacking pedals. Cheers guys - will try this when I'm next in a practice room.
15.
Try not doing that then? If you set each pedal by themselves to unity gain then you should be able to combine them in series without a volume boost. But if each one is set to be say 10% louder when turned on, then turning them both on raises the volume 20% (well not precisely, but it's just an example!).
Okay - to ask the question; How do you get unity gain? Is this a case of clean tone being same as distorted tone?
16. Bugger, thats how they already are. Ah well!
17. Hey guys, I've started going down the dangerous road of fx again, i've got my distortions/fuzz sorted now but have noticed a little issue. Is there anyway of getting a sound to be the same volume with each different pedal? For example, i tend to run B7k + Oxide together for a clanky fuzz tone, then hit the oxide off for some other points. There seems to be a drop in volume, but if I increase the volume of the B7k - it throws off the volume with the fuzz. Would a compressor resolve this? Any suggestions on compressors to look for (pedal only - no longer using a rack!) PS - sorry if this has been done before - I searched but couldn't see anything to answer my question. Ta Dave
18. Hey guys, It just appears to have been issue after issue after issue - after the paint there was several uncertain months if the paint was taking etc. I believe Rich was working on the pickguard now, or was - before buggering his neck. Pretty frustrating to say the least. Rich might be able to confirm what the current status is.
19. Someone above posted that even £5 per advert would be more appealing. I'd be tempted to agree. It's the age old 9.99 being cheaper than £10. It looks better.. I'd probs go a fiver.
20. So did we find out what the 2 millionth post actually was?
21. I thought doood was at 11 million on his own?
