1. bump PS I promise I will get photos! Forgot about them!
2. Hey guys, Had this cab for about a year and a bit after a monster wait! Sadly it's not been used in proper anger so is sat at home not being touched. Lightweight, amazing tone, louder than hell and looks the absolute biz! Collection preferred, however i can look at shipping/finding a box big enough! Comes with roqsolid cover Will get photos today. £700 ono
3. Guys - i've a question re the blueboard. I'm using jamup pro (only) and have some amazing tones. Only thing annoying me is the lack of ability to hit the tuner from the blueboard. I realise i could set to CC mode and that works but i change patch to change multiple fx/change amps opposed to individual pedals. Blueboard able to set footswitch A to CC but keep BCD as the patches?
4. Even metal riffs are a doddle. Very simple to adjust to. Your hand kinda just seems to fit the frets really well for some reason. If anyone is up this north, welcome to try out. Also I'm gigging a new band on the 20th in Dundee if anyones near by. Can easy take the bass too.
5. Willing to entertain offers now!
6.
hi mate would a mayones be5 exotic be of interest? if so give me a call on 07944544747
Sorry mate - Afraid not. I need to bump this - looking for cash again. Credit card is look worrying. I'll knock another £100 off - so now £1600. I can look at shipping etc if required, but would prefer collection.
7. Wouldnt life suck if we all liked the same basses?! FWIW i tried dozens of basses before deciding on my lakland, that was trying high end fenders, MM, Warwicks etc. Even based my purple beastie on it! You might get a few dogs occasionally, but for my (personal) testing, i found 9/10 fenders were howling, but all the Laklands i tested were lovely in comparrison.
8. Maybe look at a delano pup if youve not decided yet
9. I have a rough question kinda in the same vein... I want to use my 4 string lakland at drop A (AEAD) - what kinda gauge would be needed for this? Best to get a 5 string set and ditch the high string? Will I need to likely need to file the nut? It's 34" scale.
10. £1700 ono for an amazing bass!
11. Thought it was gone, but I think the buyer changed their mind. Would be good to get this sold soon Just so I can pay of my credit card a smidge.
12. I had one. I managed to get fairly useful tones. But you have to be insanely clinical with your playing but I found that to be the same with the Roland GK3B also. I bought mine used and sold it for the same price. I think I sold it for about 30 quid. Worth it for that price, but not the 70 it retails for.
13. What power amps are you guys using (if any)? I'd like to take ipad, light amp and barefaced cab for gigs and practice. Was eying up the EHX magnum 44 but not sure its loud/clean enough. I'd rather any distortion came from my actual preamp tones.
14.
Yep...just to re-iterate. Valve amps have to be run under load so make sure you know a few absolute NO-NO's with regards to running valve amps. They aren't very kind at all to anyone taking liberties. You MUST run it under a load at ALL times. You must run it with the correct load so, 8 ohm cab should have a ohm selecter on the back of the amp. You turn them on in stand-by mode and then wait for the amp to warm up before switching in the power stage...which is normally the second on switch. If power is switched off ( i.e power-cut ) ..switch the amp off and start again. Valves and voltage supply are dodgy bed fellows so reset the amp and start again if the power is fluctuating or unstable. Valve amp users hate the venue limiters with a passion for this reason. This is why valve amps became unpopular and second to the more resiliant and robust SS models. They did not become unpopular because of the sound 99% of the time.
+1 Although it might just decide not to work at all! Risks ya gotta take in the pursuit of tone! Enjoy it
15. Arg! Almost sold then fell through again. So post holiday bump!
16. Bump. Gigged once and it was great, but I think i'd prefer to use my lakland!
17. Forgot to reply to this! It was amazing! Didn't cock up quite as often as i thought! The band felt it was their best gig to date. So chuffed!
18. If my memory is right you can use both channels at once with a Y cable or ABY box. I remember it gave a lovely sound. Sigh - i'm lusting after one again... Might just buy an axe fx instead... :|
19. Aww what the hell?! I don't have space for bono! I dont even have time to remove it.
20. Other people may have had no issues - but I can't have an amp fail on me with no warning It did sound absolutely amazing though. My back hated it though! Something like 12 power valves?!
21.
JamUp app on ipad or iphone and a Line6 sonicport would be the best option in my opinion, and would be cheaper than the Kemper or the AxeFX.
Cheers - Will give it a go! Got a Sonic port already.
22. I liked mine loads. Until it decided to die just before recording. Was great to have spent ages working on a tone that I liked and fitted amazingly with my guitarist, only for it to die at the last second.
