1.
It looks PERFECT save for the digital artifact that many of them seem to suffer from.
I've never experienced it buy heard of a couple of others that have... Though it's a part of the 'stomp' (single band) compressor, which I wouldn't really use anyway. No one ever says anything but good stuff about the 'studio' mode - which is by far the best compressor I've ever had the pleasure of using.
2. TC Nova Dynamics in studio (3-band) mode is bloody lovely. Subtle. Transparent. Amazing. Shame it's discontinued
3. Cheers guys... Really looking forwards to it!
4. EBS stuff is typically bright. They are quite clean and hi-fi sounding. The Fafner is my favourite of the EBS range and while it has the classic EBS zing it does have a lovely drive channel and some great gritty tube warmth. Tonally the thing is a monster. It does weigh a fair bit and the little red lightbulb in it does have a habit of blowing (silly design... Not that it affects the performance!) but other than that it really is an amazing amp.
5. Amazing bit of kit! Post in effects for sale forum removed. One thread is enough. Shep
6. For anyone concerned - the little red bulb blowing is a VERY common issue with these amps. I got through 4 in 6 months! It was a rather silly design feature to use a little light bulb rather than an LED. A quick email to EBS scored me a handful of free bulbs, and after they went a quick trip to a man with a soldering iron replaced the fitting with an actual LED. Easy fix. AMAZING amp!
7. Mark deserves an extra special mention for the sheer amount of hassling and massive email bombardment I've thrown his way the last couple of weeks! Never anything than a gentleman and even made an effort to pretend I'm not annoying! Mark, you are a top top man! Shep
8. John bought a pedal off me. Easy transaction. Very happy. Thanks dude! Shep
9. Glad that helped. Tip 1 - read the manual The words are for a dual channel set up (dry/effect) and the labelling numbers are there to tell you which is priority in a mono set up. TBH I'm unsure how it managed to 'bypass' pedals before it, but I'm insane enough without spending too much time trying to figure that one out!!! I agree with the comment above. Personally I run dirt before modulation as the dirt adds new upper harmonics which the chorus and flange effects will then be applied too (makes them cut through better!). That said, if you've read any of my blog posts you'll see that I'm a big advocate of 'trying everything'! If it sounds right to you then that's right!! The synth Wah is likely best early in the chain, though worth noting that 90% of effects will say they work best first receiving a clean signal so don't take it as written. Octave effects tend to sound a little odd after dirt (IMO) though so maybe leave it where it is. Glad we sorted the issue!
10. Yeah. Rebel effects UK. The guys name is Vince. Too chap. Great builds too. Around £35-40 a clone. Both his Mammoth and his Soda Meiser are great - they are totally different fuzz's though!
11. So your saying signal can always he heard but when the way is bypassed other effects can not be heard (just the clean tone running through them?). 1stly make sure you are using the Out 1 (Dry) from the Bass Synth Wah. If you are then can you write your signal chain out for us (order of pedals).
12.
Wonderful news pal
:-)
13. Dual mono... That was ME using the wrong terminology I know this as we had a lengthy conversation at my studio on Sunday about this.
14.
When you say 'biamp', do you know what 'biamp' means? The compact is a full range cab an not suited to inclusion in a bi-amp rig. Anything that is suited to a bimap setup won't be suited to running with the compact with one head.
He's running a 2-rig stereo set up not a bi-amp set up. One rig is 'clean' the other rig is 'dirty'. Wrong terminology.
15.
Wrong key too (Century 4).
Lol... I seem to be constantly turning 4 strings into 5 today - It's quite a skill!
16.
Does this mean it's going to be done soon ish??
Soon-ish... No specifics at the mo. I think we are looking weeks rather than months now.
17. EBS NEO 110 or 112 would be great for your noise channel (As I know what your setup is and what you are trying to do)... but I'd personally just do parallel effects chains leaving one side totally empty... personally. Save yourself the extra amp and cab and replace it with an LS-2
18.
This one is a LG3004 FL
Amended my 5 to a 4... hit the wrong key!
19.
Now that is a cool looking bass. I used to struggle a bit with that Roscoe shape, but to my eye now, it's very much the "Thumb Bass" of the Roscoe range and that's never a bad thing
Wait until you see it with the angled pickups AND the angles ramp between them... I think the layout looks killer!
20. Okay okay stop pestering... I'll post some more... SKB 3005 with Figured Maple top and a killer Spalted Purple Heart fretboard! Century Standard 4 Fretless with a sexy Tobacco Burst finish LG 3004 with Exhibition Burl Maple Top Better?
21.
Remember TIM??
Basschat will never let me forget it...
22. Gorgeous!!! And a bargain for an LG3004
23.
Stop it!!!!
:-)
24.
Turn your head sideways and you can see a fat ninja in the grain
lolololololololololololol
