1. Nice I have a few new toys but have realised my downsize to a PT Mini was too much. Looks like I'm going to have to go bigger again before any new pics come out…. And before AJ says anything... Yes you told me so!
2. Nice collection still!! I'm still lusting after a Subdecay Noisebox… Just can't find the money :-( Time to have a look at what I can sell i think…!
3.
Sunna FTW
Awesome band. Even better live. 1st album is amazing. Not so keen on the 2nd album but the 1st track from it has some fat synth bass! Currently listening to Jojo Mayer & Nerve's new EP1 & EP2
4. Any one with a PT Jnr looking to downsize to a mini drop me a line. I went from a PT2 to a Mini but realise that 2 steps was too many No interested in any other trades or selling. ***This has been listed in the effects forum along with some of my pedals now. Mods please close if needed***
5. In that case, 'current spec' will be the Rumour circuit. And believe me, if its bite you want, you wont be disappointed!
6. Hell yeah. I certainly can't question his dedication to getting this project complete... Another pic for y'all. Headstock facing...
7. I'm prob a million miles of the Mark, I'm pretty sure Paul Raven played Warwick towards the end of his career with Killing Joke (before the tour he did with them some years later), and the dates mentioned kinda coincide with Ravens departure from the band... Which could explain him parting with a KJ (Killing Joke) branded bass... Or maybe I could be a million million miles off the mark! Either way... I like this! Bump
8. Excellent stuff. A mate of mine is doing some shows with then as well shortly (Method Cell). Best of luck with the shows!
9. More likely it's the vibration though the stage floor. Ive had the same issue myself. Get an Auralex Gramma Pad. Proplem Solved... And it tightened the bottom end sound up loads as well! Best £40 I ever spent!
10. Fender rumble is great for a practice amp. Good fat sound and can take a low B at reasonable volume. For a combo range, the Rumbles are great for the money. If you can find a 2nd hand one, The Peavy MicroBass is brill, and if you want to spend a few quid the EBS Session 60 is my pick of the lot! Shep
11. The mount that comes with it was done in partnership with Voodoo Labs, and is designed for a voodoo Labs power supply. If any others fit it, it's pure fluke. I used a Diago Powerstation. Velcro'd to the underside on my PedalTrain II & slotted into the groove at the back of my PedalTrain Mini.
12. Quick update from Robbie. Neck wood cut to size in prep for truss rod etc... Tongues managed to get 2 necks out of this so who's going to be the lucky person to claim the other 6 string neck?
13. Cool man. I havnt played, or had interest in a 4 string for about 3 years. But this just caught my eye! Shep
14. Trade for Yammy TRB? - http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=89940
15.
Where is Russ the GB/EBS_Freak?
I don't need its life story!!!! (sorry Russ) hehe. I didn't notice it had a stacked pot! It's just a different layout as opposed to a different system. Cheers.
16. 4 knobs rather than 5. An older pre-amp I assume? Can you tell us what controls the pre has? Thanks!
17. Rumour's looking very tasty!
18. I have just completed a review fr BGM for the TC Electronics BG500. Hopefully in the next issue.
19.
Twas me with the jazz bass. Even one of the guitar guys came over to look which was quite impressive. Thanks for your time on that, I appreciate it.
No probs. Hope you get it sorted. We don't see many Jap Fenders. Was the highlight of mine and Ed's day! Shep
20. Hey guys.... Big Saturday for ND&GC today. Not in terms of sales (it was dead!), but in my 4 hours there I met another 3 basschatters! Cheers for Dread Bass for dropping in (See you at Waterfront next sat) and to the chap with the lovely Jap Fender Jazz (good luck with the pickups), plus the chap that came and bough the Ibby ATK from me... Apologies for not getting your user names to the latter two. It's also worth announcing that after some discussion, today will of been my last Saturday at the Drum Centre. I get married in 2 weeks time, work 6 days a week and am playing in 3 bands. Something has to give, and the Saturday's tinkering with toys is taking the chop. I'll still be affiliated with the Drum Centre through my other job and will keep up to date with bits on bobs. Anyone that used me for set ups I'll still happily offer that service, just message me here instead... I think iv done 7 basschatters basses to date with no complaints. Big thanks for everyone over the last year for popping in and saying hello and spending a few quid. Make sure you still give Ed and the boys some business now I've gone! Shep
21. Cheers for the kind words. I'm excited about the Bolt-on as well. To be honestI don't like Thru Necks. I only own Bolt-ons now.I don't know what it is, they just seem to feel better and sound nicer… maybe I'm just fooling myself. Either way I love bolt-ons.
22. Another of Stig's basses as well it seems…
