We did the Gunthorpe one last year and I have to say that the Sound Crew, given the 15 minute turn arounds and diversity of the bands who were playing the date, were nothing short of brilliant and a pleasure to work with. Apologies for kidnapping the thread!!
No worries from me,,,,agree about how good some of these guys are,,,,, the Butlins crews are bloody first class !!

 6.
My intial thought is that they must have a hell of a vocalist! Yeah, as previous posters have said, get as close as you can to everything, but do your homework most on the ones that have definite endings on record so that you can some spend rehearsal time nailing the ends of fade-out songs. I find that usually someone's got to give a signal that the last four bars/two bars/bar/end is coming, and it's usually the singer or the drummer, so work those out early in rehearsal and make a note on the setlist...
Hey yeah,, thought the same,,,,especially if he/she is sticking to all the original keys,,, looks a good set tho,,,the ol flea bassline "in you oughta know" is great fun to play......
 7. Played a Warners Hotel last night in Sommersett,,, great night ,,,, drove down from Hull, did the gig,, and drove home again......long bloody way... Why oh why are agents struggling to double up these days??

 17. One of my favorite pieces of kit is the Peavey Firebass,, this one has done countless gigs,, however it had a hic-cup a couple of months ago,, cleaned it out,,, pretty dusty,, and it behaved fine for a month or so,,,,, then one fatefull gig,, she just refused to power up,,, and bizzarly dosnt have the obvious fuse to check !! Any ideas guys?? obviously prepared to have her professionally repaired,, just curious to get your views ,opinions.....she has been officially retired from "the road"
 18. Thats good to know wazoo,,,, its an awesome looking beast,, and screams quality to me. I saw Uncle Albert play live a couple of years ago,, and on the guitar version he seemed to have a lot of neck dive and was constantly re-adjusting his guitar,, thought at the time they may have balance issues... Its a bloody fantastic looking thing,,,, awesome.....
