  1. Withdrawing, my guitarist buddy convinced me to give this to him 😁
  2. @Useless amateur hey, do you still do this? I got a couple used sets
  3. Alright alright they're not technically flats but I got to show this to everyone now! Tapes with a nice leather pick. Smooooooooth tone!
  4. I fixed it since by adding another layer, the first layer always retracts a bit. I tried two types of UV resins before and they're both terribly, terribly stinky. Let me know which one you use that's hopefully smell-free I also managed to lose my UV flashlight since... 🙄
  5. I found the Notadumble fairly useless with my Sandberg that's got pretty hot passive pickups, even the clean channel distorts it a bit more than what's pleasant to my ears. On the Ibanez that's got passive EMGs, it's very different, and gives the tone some beautiful saturation that I like. So I am guessing it's not really for anyone who plays an active bass.
  6. Finally replaced the original Sandberg strings... decided to keep the La Bella on the self for now, and strung it with D'addario black tapes - as it just looks amazing with the black hardware! Can't wait to actually listen to it tomorrow, what happens to the "modern P" tone with these weirdo strings
  7. I only ever tried the EB Cobalt flats yet, but those never ever stuck to my fingers (I got hands that are normally dry but very suddenly can get very sweaty, so I'm all over the spectrum).
  8. Selling an Echö "Prototype" DIY pedal - Deep Blue Delay clone I built. It's a FuzzDog PCB in the enclosure. Prototype, as it's the 2nd I ever made, and it still has some build quality issues. This is one of my first attempts for covering a pedal with epoxy. As it was the start of my learning curve for painting and decorating enclosures, it's got small cosmetic mistakes like chipped corners, very slightly un-even epoxy coverage, as shown on the photos. Works very nicely with both bass and guitar. DELAY controls the time, manual says it's to 450ms but I think it goes to more. Turned down = slapback, reverb-y echo! Slapback with high REPEAT count = very metallic reverb REPEAT controls the amount of repeats. Down = only one repeat, and starts wildly running away and oscillating above 2pm. The DIRT pot... I'd forget about it, I could not find a practical use for it myself. I added it as suggested by other builders of the kit, but I don't really see the point. It makes the repeats even darker, and they can oscillate even more. It's a fairly dark delay, if you love the analog degrading of the repeats, it's for you! As the official manual put it, "this has got warmth and character, and if you're looking for a crisp digital delay, you rather need a Boss or similar" Happy to answer any questions!
  9. Selling a Plüm "Prototype" DIY pedal - Prunes & Custard clone I built. It's a FuzzDog PCB in the enclosure. Prototype, as it's the 3rd I ever made, and it still has some build quality issues. As it was the start of my learning curve for painting and decorating enclosures, it's got small cosmetic mistakes like chipped corners and getting a bit too close to the drill base, etc, as shown on the photos. Works very nicely with both bass and guitar. For bass, try Drive = 3pm , Mix = 9-10am. Extremely responsive pedal! Happy to answer any questions!
  10. Interesting how different we all are. I played rounds all my life and just constantly hated the squeakig strings, the rubbing against my fingertips, the cheesegrater feel, the accidental sliding metallic overtones (yeah, that's mostly my crap technique's fault but still). I do love the touch of a flat, and these days there are more hybrid-sounding strings which tends to be my choice, like the cobalt flats from EB.
  11. Withdrawing, when recording it's sound, it failed QC... starts to crackle, but only after 10+ minutes of use (???). I only played it for ~5 minute sessions when testing before, so this never surfaced. Weird issue to have for sure. I'll reflow the solder joints and use some better flux that's easier to clean up, then will test further and this will be back
  12. Annoyingly, I can't find my blacklight. Tone demo incoming today. This is a lot of fuzz for £45 I am telling you 😁
  13. I think you should make it more clear in the topic subject that this supersale isn't real... 🙃
  14. Check out some videos that teach you how to read/write proper drum notation using simple rhythms. I got my "mental grid" through that!
  15. I must try this. I bought an absolutely non-budget Nordymute a couple years ago and unless I barely put it on, just gently touching the strings with the end, it's too muted and useless for me. Putting it on just barely adds the risk that I knock it off with my hand. I enjoyed sponges and packing materials more than the fancy purpose-made stuff.
  16. Shameless plug, here on the market I am selling a cheap DIY Mastotron clone I made that has a switch for warming up / bassing up the tone. 😁 Not exactly a blend, but it's the next best thing for bass. But I don't know if it's "creamy" though, or even if we consider the same things "creamy" 😉
  17. Haha already got on the wall of shame, and I still want a Wampler Ego 76 at some point... 😁 can live without... yet...
  18. Like others were saying... it's a great thing this happened right at the beginning. If they're this kind of people, the same or worse would have eventually happened anyway. These are usually not one-off mistakes, these are clear signs of questionable personalities.
  19. If it works for YOU, then it's a great method! But you don't need to find a "bassless" version on youtube any more. There are many simple services like Moises that can just mute the bass track for you on any mp3 you upload. Some DAWs and their plugins are catching up to this as well, but I just use Moises, so simple, AND you can loop specific parts natively that you want to practice! It allows you to change the tempo, tell you AND change the key, show you the chords, etc. Just try it 😁 Edit: it works both as an app and in your browser on a computer
  20. Lol I was eyeballing this lego bass a couple weeks ago on the marketplace, and now it's on a stage... 😂
