3.
How long did it take you to get it to sound OK? Had my first experience on it in my lesson today and it's sooooooo hard, although I know I will be chuffed to bits when I can do it
as long as it took for it to sound like music.. slap has such a taboo for such a strange reason.. and its because of crap fashion... there has never been such a curiosity for tapping, fingerstyle, pick playing, .. .. slap is a technique like any other musical technique.. it should be approached in the same way... imo keep some space in your slap playing.. it makes the world of difference
4. no..the older deluxe body shape have a cutaway on the lower bottom horn.different jazz body,, .. the newer Deluxe Jazz basses have the usual vintage jazz body..... blocks also.. the preamp is is way better on the new post 2011 Deluxe Fenders...
5. he plays a standard Fender USA Deluxe V.. yes ive seen the Bass Gallery vid.. to be honest i thought it was a little over indulgent..

12. for the life of me i do not know how to do it, but i want down load Incognitos.... "Closer to the Feeling" on to you tube... i would be eternally grateful if someone could do that..

14. yes i did Deb.. was quite an experience.. was more jazz than i was expecting but non the less for it..
15. thanks Pat.. a good man for a good bump.
16. whoops.. thanks dude.
17. i need a good 5 string... would really like a Lakland 55-02 Deluxe, maple board... show me what you got... This is a top of the line, non export 1975 RI jazz bass and its a very good instrument. ..the only reason im considering letting go of this instrument is because i need a 5 for a recent band this bass has the proper 70's pickup spacing... i have not seen many JB75 US with this option .?? its fairly rare shipped in an SKB hard case with new DR Low Riders on it.. i would value this bass at 650/700.. some pics of this instrument... thank you Simon.. i reserve the right to withdraw this bass.. TRADE ONLY please...
18. ive gone a bit YouTube mad but i had to post this... this guy is so amazing.. his views on music and Miles Davis are so sensitive and insightful... you can really see why this guy is such an amazing musician..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKcVYcAQDSk&feature=related
19. i had the very same bass.. totally awsome.... but why has your TRB not dot markers on the fret board..?
20. after a while of not buying a bass i really want buy a 5 string... the 55-02 is on my mind.. i had a 55-01 with Nordstrand fat stacks and it was pretty good... ive never played a 55 with the humbucker jazz set up... what is the bass like, im guessing it has the Lakland LH preamp?
21. another classic Reed groove. you can keep your Wooten. knowone grooves like this guy.. i never get bored of his fill at 2.03 onwards..
22.
I still haven't got bored of this album, and I've listened to it almost every day since it came out! My second son was born to it on May 2nd too! This is probably my favourite bassline on the whole album, although there's so many good ones to choose from!
im with you there... this album has seen alot of playing.. nothing quite like sipping a beer in the garden with this blasting out
