1.
I ordered one from Sei having looked at the market and not been overly impressed with the offerings. MP told me..and showed me, that he would make a far better bass for the money, which at that time was about £1500. He was correct and altho now his prices are nearly double..and his lead time around a year, I'd still go there for a custom bass. His build and his workmanship make sure you end up with a unqiue personal custom bass which really works. Altho he will fine tune his designs with thing like neck profile etc etc ... he has been doing it for long enough to know and advise what works. The biggest single mistake in my book is picking unknown combination woods, but since all are active... this is less of a problem. However, I think the bass HAS to work passively as well, and by that I mean it should great passive and not HAVE to rely of the Elecs 'saving' it..which it probably wont 100% IMO.
I didn't order one but the experience of owning a Sei was pretty amazing. To play and hold it just felt really special. Can't put my finger on it
2. Like the title says. How do you wash yours.? I wonder if you can machine wash the.? I'm thinking about putting it in the washing machine, but I'm not sure if the sponge will retain the water.
3. His bass playing for me is so very cool http://youtu.be/tMgvgofqFmE
4. Mono. They are superb and bomb proof. I have a Mono M80 and would throw my bass on the floor with it and not be worried. I would prefer an SKB hard case in a van though. The best case I've ever had is the Sadowsky hard soft case. Awsome peice of design.
5. That MTD for sure. There was a Pensa 5 string for sale. Wow. The F Clef is superb. There was a Bernie Good fellow for sale in maple quilt. That was superb. I think Chris Horton was selling it .. probably wrong on that.
6. One of my favourite bass players. I remember the first time I heard hiss album Low Blow. Awsome playing. I really hope he's better soon.
7. What an odd selection of instruments. They only do Bass Collection and NS.? Or am I missing something. ? Love the Blockhead mind.

9. Fantastic bass playing from a really great bass player. Also known as Mono Neon. He's the last bass player to work with Prince. His fills are just wow.! http://youtu.be/vhfKigcKh4M
10. Hanson don't make pickups overseas. They are all made in the USA.
11. Bass Players check out Dale Black, Sharray Reed, Maurice Fitzgerald, Reggie Young all monster bass players. Bands check out New Direction. The first album. Its phenomenal gospel music.
12. And then someone comes along and makes a ground breaking record with out any bass. http://youtu.be/f25KOaW9JPI
13. Listening. And more listening.I never stop listening. Learning bass lines. Then spent many years learning the theory behind those bass lines, which I think is really important. Learning theory slowly put the puzzle together.
14. A while back. Fantastic bass
15. Lovely bass. Is this not an Elite series Jazz.?
16. My dad was musical director for Hastings, City orchestra in New Zealand. Great great pianist and violinist.
17. Yeah bought a Sadowsky from there shop. Got some inheritance. Think it was £1750.00 for an RV5 with import duty. Amazing instrument and loved splashing that sort of money at the time. I think I went on to spend £ 20000 on basses of the next 2 years. Wouldn't do that now.
18. I think we are too used to BC prices. He's got overheads etc.
19. I have a lovely Maruszczyk Elwood 5 string jazz bass, it is superb, but im longing for a Lakland 55-02 Deluxe that i have seen.. what is wrong with me.!!? Why is the grass always greener on the other side.?
