  1. Hi all, I recently have found myself in the odd position of having no PRS last week and now having 2 PRS this week... not a bad thing, but I only 'need' one! So, for sale is this rather lovely USA PRS Standard 22, it has a full mahogany body with a gloss black finish, complete with birds inlay. Very good condition, 9/10. Comes with hard case, hang tag, spare tremolo springs and truss tool. Even has the original $2850 price tag in the case! Any questions, please ask!
  2. Hi all, I'm debating selling this absolutely exceptional Rainsong JM1000 Electro-Acoustic. These retail at around £3000, it's a fantastic beast and weights less than 2kg!! It is very loud, resonant, light, articulate, everything you could possibly want in an acoustic. It has a few light scratches but nothing major, 9/10 in condition I'd say. It will come with a tatty but function hardcase. It really is a stunning thing and the top end Fishman Prefix Plus-T preamp gives it a beautiful 'plugged in' voice. The rosette is solid inlayed Abalone and really offsets the carbon fibre body. Utterly beautiful in my opinion! I can post is needed, but collection is preferable. Any questions, please ask!
  3. Hi, Took this in trade, I have no real use for it! These are great little pedals, can't fault them for what they are! This is used but works fine, a few dings etc. Asking £59 including UK Postage. Has a metal underplayed with velcro, will include original rubber one! Any questions, please ask!
  4. So... There's this... It's, err, it's what it is... It's a 'custom' 8 string thing from Etherial guitars, it need work as the set up is all sorts of wrong and some of the 'tronics need attention. It's basically the real life version of a drawing of a guitar that may have been done in the 1950's by someone who was asked to draw what they think a guitar would look like in the year 2020. It has 2 bass strings which are fretted up until the 12th fret, then from there on they are fretless... The rest is a 6 string fanned fret 'standard' guitar. Of the 6 knobs, the two in the middle are push/pull coil tap, and the 2 runs of three knobs are vol, tone, tone. It has a Les Paul style 3 way toggle and a kill switch. Oh, and it has a Steinberg style 'lap flap' for good measure! It's a set neck, the tuners are Gotoh, the rest, well, I don't know! £400 is my asking price, given what it is, I think it's fair enough! Comes with a terrible 'fitted' hard case. Uninsured shipping is £15 across the UK. Any questions... I'll try and answer! 😂
  5. I've officially told the buyer that I'm removing myself from the deal, they seem to have taken it fairly graciously. I think it's for the best, I don't like leaving myself open to issues wherever possible so alls well that ends well!
  6. Unlikely, it'll just be used as my 'studio guitar', so should remain in it's current condition for a few years yet!
  7. It's a 2008 model, pretty much mint condition bar a tiny tiny ding on the back of the neck, literally a spec though.
  8. I always take stool samples from anyone buying anything from me... doesn't everyone??
  9. Well, overnight I've actually had someone else make a better offer on the Warwick and wants to collect today and pay via BACS transfer... I'm a whole lot more comfortable with this arrangement. Much safer for me. I do feel a shade of guilt if I pull out from the other sale, but being paid via PayPal for a collection just doesn't sit right, as per confirmation from all of yourselves.
  10. The issue is they want to/can only pay via PayPal due to them being able to utilise the 0% over 12 month offer they have. Cash wouldn't be an option for this buyer.
  11. Reckon I can bodge one together for you for say 4k? You'll save 2k and you'll be supporting the 'Give Russ loadsa your cash' fund.
  12. I'm leaning in the direction of not letting the bass go if PayPal is the only way the buyer can pay and they want to collect. My gut tells me there would be no issue, but its a lot of money and would be a massive kick in the teeth of I lost the bass and the cash. I'll have a ponder over night.
  13. Probably, but I suppose that's still no proof that the item wasn't then 'returned moments later'. There was a recent case where a basschatter sold a Markbass flight case where the buyer thought it contained a cab, they returned it an hour or so later, there was a small dispute as the seller clearly advertised it as a case only, the buyer just left it on his doorstep then claimed via PayPal he never received it and was refunded. I don't think a video/photo of the bass leaving my house would do me any favours in such a return scenario.
  14. Hi all, I've heard a few stories out there about buyers paying via PayPal and then collecting the item, from what I've heard this leaves the seller open to being screwed if the buyer then claims to not have received the item. Is there any real way to safely accept a PayPal payment with the buyer collecting? I've arrange the sale of a bass and the buyer wants to pay via PayPal as they have 0% over 12 months so can essentially finance the purchase over a year. I get this, but I do feel a little trepidation about accepting PayPal when it leaves me in a fairly weak position if the buyer turns out to be unscrupulous. The chap seems absolutely fine, but I have been caught out once before many years ago with someone that really seemed a true gent then it turned out he sold me a stolen guitar. (Fortunately the guitar ended up back where is was stolen from and no one was out of pocket). So, is there a safe way to accept payment in this fashion without the risk of being up the creek? Signed receipts or something? Ta.
  15. I would have killed for one of these a few years back! Absolutely love these.
  16. So utterly pointless!! I reckon I could put down a fretted and pick up a fretless in the same time it would take rotate that monstrosity.
  17. These are just cheap Chinese knock offs. Probably worth swerving.
  18. Janez bought a Yamaha TRB6P from me, payment was made swiftly and without any problems at all! Good communication throughout, overall I would absolutely recommend Janez as a trusted member of the Basschat community. I'd be more than happy to deal with him again! Russ.
  19. Bought me a PRS Custom 22 last week. Fantabulous geeeetars. Kills a Les Paul dead in my humble opinion.
  20. @MiltyG565, seems like all your photos on all your ads are this downloadable links... personally I swerve these, others will likely do the same. You'll have a much greater chance of a sale if you can post the pictures to the thread for us to see without downloading!
  21. Hi Paul, I believe you have just been pipped to the post... I'll mark it as gone. Russ.
  22. I'd counter that and say if it's the same price then buy it on Reverb as you'll have an extra layer of protection if anything goes sour, especiallyif that shop if abroad. Also, large businesses will have lesser rates than the private seller. Just my humble opinion!
